I watched it once when it first came out but because of my step mom's highly opinionated nature i haven't seen it since, until today. I love it! the gargoyles are awesome, they made me laugh!

This is the best animated Disney movie they have ever made!! Why? First of all the music is fantastic!! Second there characters are awsome! and Third the animation is brilliant!! I absoutly love this movie! I have never seen the sequal and i don't think i plan to becuase everyone has told me that the sequal is awful.. I recetnly went on IMDB.com and it only got a few stars. My friend and I were watching this movie yesterday becuase it was on ToonDisney and so we decieded to watch it...(actually i made my friend watch it) and she who absoutly used to hate this movie now loves it. There are a few scenes in there that are a little bit scary for younger viewers though.....I absoutly love the gargoyles and the old man that always says.."Dangit" XD and i defetinly agree that Frollo is one of the best Disney Villains ever created. Watch this movie!

You know I didn't like this movie for the longest time when I was younger. When I saw it in the theaters I didn't much care for it. But then years later I rented it with my best friend and now I love it. I had quiet an addiction to Clopin for a while and so did my best friend. We even watched my DVD of it in the Spanish and French Langauge choices and it was sooo cool. Definetly a wonderful story and Disney made a great version of it.

I have to tip my hat to the creators of this film for being so daring. Going up against Victor Hugo's graphic novel was a bold choice. (Especially since it was not written for a younger audience) This film holds a dark undertone that didn't exactly please parents who were hoping for a Little Mermiad kind of quality production. This story took a while for me to catch on with but now I adore it. Quasimodo is so loveable while Pheobus is charasmatic. Frollo brings an emotionally crazy and disturbing undertone: which ultimatley shows the dangers he's capable of. Esmerelda is a "strong heroine" in every sense of the word! This movie has one of my favorite film scores period. Alan Menken and Stephen Schwartz were right on que. (At least in my opinion) I understand how this film won't please everyone but if you're looking for a disney film with a darker edge but still family friendly feel, I highly recomend this one.

When I'm asked about this movie, the one thing I have to say about it is that it is the most beautifully animated movie. True, it does have it's darker bits, but it could only stray so far from the original. And they put comedy in just the right places when it seems to get too dark (ex: as many have pointed out - the "dang it" guy).
But this reminds me, I was supposed to lend this to a coworker...

I love H.O.N.D. It's a great book, and sends out a great message.

Its not one of my top favorites from Disney but its a great film, point blank. Its probably one of the most serious Disney movies out there and it really causes you to think on it. Others do but they aren't as strong as anything else, the Hunchback is one of the strongest messages of all and I don't think enough people realize that. Even though all of you obviously do.

And I also love that they were daring enough to make a religious film. This is a wonderful wonderful movie. And I am certainly not going to see the sequel either

I own the sequal mostly just for the song at the end because at the time I was unable to locate a soundtrack or Mp3 of it on the comp, but now I have it on my MP4 player. Its cute but its crap compared to the original.
