Okay, I still haven't seen The Lion King and I'm not sure if this one beats Beauty and the Beast for me, BUT I saw Mary Poppins this Spring and it was absolutely amazing! The technical aspects of the show blew me away. Until the statue moved, I thought it was an actual statue. The backdrops were beautiful and everything looked real. You could tell they had fun using all the new technological advances on the show. That itself put me in awe. Then they've added some music and arranged the songs. Now as much as I love the original Supercalifragilicious, the new songs and arrangements are so much fun. The level of energy in the house was huge. The only negative aspect of the show was that at some points I felt that the story was slowly slipping away, although it came back big, strong, and happy in the end.

I'm gonna have to say Mary Poppins here as it's the ultimate Disney musical classic in so many ways

I voted for The Lion King- I saw it 3 years ago and it did not disappoint. I've seen a few Broadway musicals, but this one surpassed them all. It was very powerful and well done.

I've now seen 2 Broadway musicals adapted from Disney films, The Lion King and Beauty and the Beast. While I really enjoyed both, I think The Lion King was a better theatrical experience. Seeing the puppetry of the animals and how they brought them to life is amazing.
I also liked Beauty and the Beast, but felt like it was watching a live performance of one of my favorite films.

Lion King FTW! But I would love to see BATB and Tarzan, too! And Little Mermaid, although it's not on the list.
