Congratulations Disney!
I'm going to see this movie soon. My parents are coming for a visit and I'm going to take them to see it with my husband and I. I can't wait. All of your comments make me excited for it!

I saw this as a Screener and it is simply wonderful. The animation is stunning, the characters are classic Disney and the music is brilliant.
I thought there were a few pacing issues but on the whole I had a blast watching this film.
Also, Olaf is ADORABLE. My girlfriend bought me a cuddly Pascal for christmas, and now I want an Olaf…. a brilliant, cutesy character!

I went to see this movie the other day and I really enjoyed it. I have to agree with everyone, the animation is stunning! I was actually very happy with the cast and the singing involved My favorite character would probably be Anna or Sven!

A little trivia to share that I recently came across. Both Kristen Bell and Idina Menzel auditioned for the role of Repunzel in Tangled. Both of their audition tapes were kept by Disney staff. They approached them again when the casting began for Frozen. Each of these ladies had a childhood dream of providing a voice for a Disney princess.
Santino Fontanna (Hans) also auditioned for the role of Flynn Rider in Tangled. When called back for an audition in Frozen. He tried out for Kristoff. They thought he was more suited for Hans so he went with it.

That is interesting indeed. I'm glad they went with Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider. I can't see anyone else in those roles. I'm also happy for Bell and Medina that they realized childhood dreams down the line even though they didn't get the first Disney role they auditioned for.

Silver, that is really interesting information and really cool that they called them back for Frozen! I've always wanted to voice a Disney villain! I wonder if I keep dreaming, if my wish will come true? And no one will go see this with me. I am waiting for the DVD. Gah!

Oh, that's interesting! I like how they called them back because they must've seen potential in them. It's good to know they think they're talented, just not suitable for that particular role. I've always wanted to voice a Disney villain! I wonder if I keep dreaming, if my wish will come true? And no one will go see this with me. I am waiting for the DVD. Gah! Me too!! And I'm going to keep dreaming til it happens

It would be too soon to say I've fallen in love with Frozen. What I can say with confidence is I had an emotional tug. I wasn't bawling my eyes out nor laughing non-stop. However there was something unique that I haven't seen in many animted films recently. I have gravitated towards it. That's more then I can for so many family oriented films that left me feel empty. The animation is spine-tingling! I did not view it in 3-D. I don't have to to appriciate the stunning imagery. Hands down the winner for Best Animated film. They should have it in the bag. The exquisite detail. You don't have to be an artist to be amazed by skill and passion these animators have. The ice castle was the most glorious feature. A lovely line up of charatcers. All enjoyable and well chosen in regards to their voice actors. Each played their part and left me smiling as they all have had experience in theatre. A huge improvement when compared to previous castings of other recent films and TV specials. Now I can't say this is my favorite collection of charatcers nor voice over performances. Maybe it will grow on me as time passes. Or it won't. What does matter is I wasn't disappointed with any. The one performance stand out I have to give extra recognition is Idina Menzel as Elsa. She doesn't have as big of role as some might expect. When her chratcer is on-screen. She dominated! Her fantastic energy, engaging charisma and sincere acting drew me right in. Her solo was the only song to bring tears to my eyes. As I said, I wasn't sobbing uncontrollably. But the fact that I had my heart tightened and a few waterworks. It's been along time that has happened when viewing a film by Disney Pixar is not included. The music is catchy. Not classical for me. Yet I should say. Who knows what will happen a year from now? I may never get sick of it. It's a matter of "wait and see." I will agree with the Golden Globes and the Critics choice awards. I'm glad Let It Go was the one song nominated form this film. My first pick! All of the others were quite pleasent. Same with the charatcer ensamble. The soundtrack didn't have me infatuated in an intsant. This is still a massive step up as many soundtracks as of recently lacks so much heart and soul. So to find it enjoyable is worth taking note of. Overall. I was very pleased and felt my time was well spent.

I went to see Frozen during the Christmas Holidays and I must say I really enjoyed. One of the best I have seen in a while that's made by Disney.

I saw Frozen Tuesday. I had heard a lot of mixed reviews, but I confess I went because of Elsa. Annddd the fact she's invaded the Rise of the Guardians fandom. So I saw it matinee on a weekday while my kids were at daycare(shameless mom goes to see Disney movie and leaves the kids out, oh my!)I did not do 3D, since my brain never does 3D right, but the beauty...They caught the glorious look of ice to a T. It was by far one of the most breathtaking films I've seen in a while. Plot and song-wise... Most of the songs weren't bad, I love Olaf's comic interlude there, it got me to chuckle a few times. Olaf himself was well handled, he didn't come off as marketing or pure comic relief, just as a cute little bit of the childhood that he was. The Scandanavian touch at the start, like Frozen Heart and later the chanting in Vuelie were stunning. Unfortunately, after that they went POP for most of the songs. With the exception of Let it Go, most of the rest bugged me. I was all set to listen to some lovely music with it's own ethnically touch, anddddd let down. Maybe that's why, but Do You Want to Build a Snowman? I didn't really like. I loved the FEELINGS behind the song, but not the song. I literally was sitting in the theater waiting for it to take off....and it never did, not for me at least. For the First Time in Forever has it's high points, but Love is an Open Door was just, blah. And it had nothing to do with the plot at that point, BTW. Speaking of which- {Spoiler} So, I confess I read the plot on Wiki so I knew about Hans and thought someone had gotten it wrong right up until he gives that first nasty smirk. I literally wanted to throw a dagger thru the screen in the theater. WOW, I haven't gotten that intense a reaction out of myself in a movie for a while! However I was rooting for Kristoff from the first time he revealed that he was blonde. I have a thing for big blonde Scandinavians, so yeah, well played there character creation and development. *is embarrassed* Anna and her relationship with Elsa was cool. I'm a little tired of romance in movies to be honest. I AM a die-hard romantic, but it's getting a bit over done. So to see Disney starting to branch out with other forms of love(Brave anyone?)is a great feeling. Still, the romantic element is light and cute. But, I have a HUGE question that really NEVER got addressed, Where the heck did Elsa's powers come from? They mentioned it as a curse a couple of times at the beginning, but never really stated what made her different. That's a LOT of power she has, it HAS to come from somewhere. Maybe my writer just sees a plot-hole and wants it, but it feels odd to me.

The reprise of For the First Time in Forever is a good example. {Spoiler}The whole "Actually we're not" "What do you mean you're not?" "There's something you don't know" What do I not know?" bit feels out of place.
