This is the CG animated show we heard about a while ago.
I have to admit, it's better than I expected, though not great. The writing is similar to the old Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh series, and if they stuck to that format this show could be much better than it is. Unfortunatly, they had to add in the gimmick that Pooh, Tigger and Darby are Super Sluethers and there are some really goofy sequences.
The animation is okay. Sometimes the characters look great, but other times, they look weird.
The show is definetly geared to younger kids: Darby frequently addresses the audience like in Blue's Clues or Dora the Explorer.
And finally, Darby herself. She replaces Christopher Robin and is apparantly American. >_>; She's not a bad character, in fact, she's cute and rather likeable, but I dislike that she has replaced Christopher Robin.

I think it looks like crap. They are destorying A.A Mile's stories and giving them to someone else when they were made for his son. Christopher Robin was the reason Pooh and his friends were created, without him they wouldn't exsist and now they go and replace him and with a Girl! I think that is very wrong. She's not even cute, I think she's ugly and she has an ugly name, Darvy. Disney has come out with some dumb shows recently but this one is just unacceptable in my opinion. Although if they were to lose the extremely stupid super sluether's thing and make the stories more of the pooh concept then make the girl be Christopher Robin's younger sister that just met the friends and now BOTH can play with them. Than I might find it mildly cute and it may pull itself up to an ok. But with the way it is, I find it unacceptable. EDIT: oh yeah, and put the animation back to traditional, cuz rthe computer pooh charactors are really tacky.

It seems that Darby is not replacing Christopher Robin: From Wikipedia:

Well that's a plus then, but he should really be in the series regularly as well as this girl. So the minuses still far outweigh it.

If it's meant for pre-school aged kids than the show can't be all that bad. They have to put in things that will keep them watching

Well what was wrong with the original Pooh concepts? plenty of kids and even adults loved it.

Nothing was wrong with the original pooh show. This is just an adaptation to make pooh available to younger kids. Original Pooh didn't have the ability to keep the interest of small kids. This does, Elijah is way younger than the target audience for this show but it managed to keep his interest for about 10 minutes today. at his age that is a very long time.
The animation was sad, but they are using all of the characters and two new ones. Darby and Buster are kind of cute and the super sleuth sub-plot is a great way to get littler kids involved. it is not aimed for older kids or adults, it suits it's target audience's abilities and attention span well. I like it, it wouldn't be my first choice but for Elijah it is good.

I like that they have a human girl in the Hundred Acre Wood but I do think that Christoper Robin should be appearing regulary along with her, its not the Hundred Acre Wood without him. Its defentiately focused for kids younger than the original one was. Especially with the interaction. I wish they used traditional animation but barely anything on Disney Channel or anywhere isn't CG.

I like the show, but then again I'm watching it with my one-year old grand-daughter who loves it. I think it's very good for the little ones because it's kinda educational like Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. But I do have to agree that it's geared more towards the little ones. I, too, like Darby; she's adorable, but I don't like her replacing Christopher Robin either. Who is she? I was wondering at first, if maybe, she was Christopher's younger sister or something. I do think it's a cute show at any rate.

I've seen a couple episodes. One was on the DVD for "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh". Here are my thoughts. I'm not really a big fan of the animation. I also don't like the Super Sleuth thing. It's just stupid. I think Darby is cute...but I miss Christopher Robin.
But the worst part of this is that they have dumbed it down so much. When will people realize that children are not this stupid? And it was something Walt Disney himself commented on. He said, "You're dead if you aim for kids." First of all, if you only aim for kids, they never grow. If you put it somewhat above their heads, they learn more. Secondly, you need something that the parents wouldn't completely tune out. Often, a mother or father watching with their child will think it's too stupid. But, if you put it between the level of the parent and the child, both can watch and enjoy it.
Anyway, those are my thoughts.
