Disney finally their act together as far as this film is concerned. Based on the Fairy-Tale "The Snow Queen" Frozen will be Disney's newest animated film. After creative roadblocks on and off for years, Disney's dream to be able to create this is coming true.
So far the creative team includes-Chris Buck (Co-director of Tarzan & Brother Bear) Peter Del Vecho ( Producer of The Princess and teh Frog) Kristen Bell as the lead heroine, Idina Menzel as the antagonist, and songs by Broadway team Robert Lopez & Kristen Anderson Lopez.
The story is about a young woman named Anna who joins up with a mountain man named Kristoff (Not yet cast) as they journey to bring an end to a land where it is cursed to be eternal winter.
Now before anybody says this is a copy of The Chronicles of Narnia. This story was written by Hans Christian Anderson (who wrote The Little Mermaid) and was published in 1845. Narnia was published in 1950.

I was a little surprised by this. I'd read where Disney had cancelled this project completely after The Princess and the Frog. Apparently the new version will be done in CGI instead of hand drawn.

I just went to Youtube to listen to Kristen Bell sing. I'm feeling mixed right now. I read somewhere that she had a backround in musical theatre. Most of the videos were of her singing pop music. She did well with that but that's not exactly the voice I was hopingto find. There was one video with her singing an Easy-Listening song. It required her to use the higher register of her voice. I wasn't impressed though. It sounded childish, strained and very weak. I hope there is more to her vocals the what I've been able to find. I want to hear a well trained muscial theatre voice (I don't care if it's soprano or mezzo) for a musical film.

I'm looking forward to this. I love the storyline and the cast looks quite good. When Tangled was cast with Mandy Moore instead of Kristen Chenoweth, I was a little skeptical. But I'm going to be optimistic about this

The first I heard of Frozen was a few days ago, people were complaining on tumblr about Disney making another movie with all white characters.........Apparently a few people have their panties in a knot about it. >___>
But it looks cool!

I understood why some people complained when Disney didn't make the prince from The Princess and the Frog of African descent. (Not that I don't like Naveen as he is)
This however is a little confusing. I thought the main characters from this Fairy-Tale were cacasian. :/

They are Danish I believe...Hans Christian Anderson was danish. So it is completely understandable for them to be white.
Also I was kind of upset over people complaining over that as well because it is like they are looking down on mixed race couples...what are they trying to bring us back to the 1800s? xD

The majority of people during Hans Christain Anderson time were pale skinned. it makes sense to write them like that.
I am all for love! Don't get me wrong. I'm huge supporter for the right to marriage. However Disney has yet to make a prince of African descent. So that movie obviously would have been a good oppertunity. Just like with Aladdin. Disney has an official arabic prince and princess. I don't even think Prince Naveen was ever given a classification

I get what you mean, But I just hate that people get so up in arms about race. They act as if Disney is purposely trying to be racist. Maybe they figured around that time, a prince of African decent would not be given that much credit in America? I don't know.
I just hope this race thing with Frozen doesn't go much further, cause they are just being silly. -____-

I agree. It does not.
Danish Fairy-Tale with Danish characters. Makes sense. The real inaccurate thing Disney does is give many Faiy-Tale characters American accents. Haha!

That is true! But I guess if they wanted to be accurate they would be speaking the completely different language....which would not be the best thing for kids who can not read subtitles. xD
Didn't some of the people in Beauty and the best have french accents? or am I mistaken?
