I just hope that the storytelling matches the animation.

oh my....ITS GORGEOUS! I wasn't expecting a trailer for months. The story looks very risky and interesting. I think it might make or break the film. Nothing can keep me from seeing this gem!

I'm as eager to see it as the rest! It looks charming and witty. Plus the animation looks breathtaking! It's so Don Bluth with a touch of lush painting And I love the fact that there's still plenty of mystery. At first after I saw the kiss, I though they gave away everything! Turns out there's far more to see from it. But I do have to say unless there's a deep rooted issue in the plot, I highly doubt it's gonna land a classic position next to BatB. TLM or Aladdin maybe. I hope it's as beautiful andappealing creators claim it is.

I like that poster. There's just something visually appealing about it. Past Disney posters have not given me a reason to see the film, but something about this one does.

I am so not quoting that giant image but the villain reminds me of The Prestige, I am interested in seeing what he does and what his intentions are.

The poster is technically not very significant in my opinion. But it is very inviting. And I agree with Shenzi. I'd love to get to know this villian. Plus he's voiced by Keith David! That's gotta be good.

The inviting nature of this poster is key and that's why I think it's significant. Too many Disney posters of late haven't been inviting. Bolt just featured a lightning bolt and I doubt it enticed anyone to see it. But this poster is catchy. I think it will draw people in and hopefully convince the general public to see the film.

I'm so excited to see this movie! The animation looks superb, and the fact that it's 2-D just makes it even better.

Exactly, Trailers, posters, nothing about bolt invited me in. I was never interested in seeing it despite that I do enjoy John Travolta. But this poster at first glance reminded me of that Little Mermaid poster where its her sitting on a rock in the middle of the sea, and its just her silhouette. Its extremely simple but its beautiful and carries a lot of meaning even in just the way she is looking up like she is pondering her life. And her dreams are the point of the movie. So they were able get the point across with one simple image. This poster does not really do that, in fact its shows a couple of characters; a snake and a crocodile that don't look like significant characters, but no one knows yet so I could be wrong there. But it still kind of has that idea with the way she is sitting. You can guess from the lighting of the image and the look on her face that there may be some downers in her life, and that meadow area is maybe her getaway like Grandmother Willow was for Pocahontas, and Ariel's collection was for her. Perhaps she lives with someone who doesn't care about her like Cinderella and Snow White. Ahem sorry we got lectures on this stuff in graphic design, but the point is this poster seems to give a reader a lot to think about and to guess about this film even with such a simple image. Which is the most important thing about making these movie posters and ads. You are not supposed to be too complex, while still making sure they get the idea. Let the reader do most of the work. But if you don't give them enough(Brier Rose's example about the Bolt poster) then they won't understand the piece and thus it won't attract attention. A Good poster/ad gives people something to think about, and make guesses.

OMG!!!!!! That is an amazing trailer! I almost can't contain my excitement!!! I really really really want to see this! It just looks so good, well done, and takes a twist on how the tale is classically told.
About the poster: it looks just like TLM or Sleeping Beauty's posters. It has the very central main characters and "heroes" of the story surrounded by the villian(s) and other key characters that are not quite as central as "the heroes". The colors and setting also look idyllic. And the villian with is very skinny and sinister look looks very much like the Bowler Hat Guy from Meet the Robinsons.
