A prequel is a story that happened before the first story. Like in this case it would be a story of what happened before The Little Mermaid. Being the "sequel-phobe" I am, I didn't care much for TLM II, but I saw a musical preview thing on The Little Mermaid DVD today, and seeing other things about it, I have to say, I'm interested. I'll probably check it out when it comes out. ^_^
BUT... without some of the original talents - - and of course the loss of Howard Ashman... the magic of the original can never be remade. But I think I'd like to see it.

The could call it The Little Mermaid: something something Like the Aladdin sequels are not Aladdin two and Aladdin 3; they have actual names: The Return of Jafar and Aladdin and the King of Thieves. If TLMIII is a prequel, it would make more sense to me to have a title like that. |

I watched the preview for this movie last night while watching The Little Mermaid Special Edition. It looks more like something from Erics point of view... It focused quite a bit on the ship wreck when Ariel saved Eric from the storm....
