Why do you think I'm not setting my hopes high? I've seen just one peek at the movie, and what I saw was not totally impressive.

Well since you can buy it on Amazon I highly doubt it's canceled.

what?
Look at that you can. Its coming out in august. The animation on the cover makes it look more cartoon like - not as good as the original animation of course.

The style does resemble "Ariel's Undersea Adventures". I loved that cartoon. Anywho...Nothing is as good as the original. But I still want to see it.

I just saw my first television commercial for this film, so Spell no its not canceled. But I don't know I think I am tempted to see it just so I can criticize specific things. As a writer I love detail.

Ohh, this is the "Ariel's Beginning" DVD that's coming out on the 26th? I thought it would be different. Well, I noticed that the voices and animation is different, but I don't know anything about the storyline. Hm.

All the commercial says is that Triton banned Music so its up to Ariel, Flounder and Sebastian to get it back.

Oh, wow. >.< I guess I saw a clip from the Little Mermaid double disk with a preview, but I never put it together. I think Flounder and Ariel swim to a cave where there is music playing...kind of reminding me of "Under the Sea" but not so good. =/

Yeah I saw that little teaser too. Ariel and Flounder enter a secret club I think owned by Sebastian, a hidden area where music can still be enjoyed by those who protest the rule.

I'm still not overly impressed by the commercials. I'll wait for someone on this forum to review it before I even think of watching it.

Yeah I think the idea is quite stupid but for some reason I am kind of curious to see it just for the sake of seeing it, and saying that I did you know? I will probably see if it comes on On Demand and just see it that way, I am definitely not spending money on it.
