So I know that a fair few of us have strong opinions on the Disney Channel Stars but I realised we'd never openly discussed each one of them, who we're fans of (if any), who we dislike, and the reasons behind our reasoning. Thinking it could be a good topic what with all the JoBro, Hannah Montana, etc hype going round at the minute, I ask you, what's your opinion on the stars of Disney Channel of today and why?  Personally, the only DC show I've ever truly loved on the Disney Channel in the last...10 years? Has been That's So Raven. I think that show is genuinely funny and not at all cringeworthy like some of the more recent efforts. Raven is a decent singer and a great comedic actress, in my eyes highly reminiscient of a female, albeit younger, Eddie Murphy. The whole cast was pretty well rounded with Orlando Brown and Anneliese Van Der Pol being great supports. Other stars that I'm fans of have been Alyson Michalka (Phil Of The Future), David Henrie (That's So Raven, Wizards of Waverely Place), Emily Osment (Hannah Montana) and the biggie at the moment for me is Selena Gomez...decent actress, relatively grounded person in general and hot to boot!  Never been a fan of the Sprouses, Miley Cyrus nor am I a fan of the JoBros =| But I'll open it up now Comments? |

My favorite actors and actresses on the Disney Channel are:
Alyson Michalka, Ashley Tisdale, Brenda Song, Hilary Duff, Anneliese Van der Pol, Selena Gomez, and Emily Osment. They seem to be the most down-to-earth.

I really don't like the Jonas Brothers, it seems to me that they have rather a high opinion of themselves and I don't think their music is that good.
Miley Cyrus comes across as a bit of an attention seeking child, whether or not she actually did all the things she's supposed to have done she didn't really help herself. Like the Jonas Brothers, I wouldn't say she's particularly talented.
I don't mind Emily Osment as she seems to behave appropriately and I'm not aware of any controversial stories surrounding her and Selena Gomez has more talent than Miley.
Most of the stars like Dylan and Cole Sprouse, Raven and Anneliese VanDerPol annoy me at times but not as much as Miley and The Jonas Brothers.

Not that I like all of the shows that these stars are in, but as far as the actors - I like Selena Gomez, Emily Osment, Brenda Song, and Raven Symone.

I find that most of the Disney Channel stars are hyped up for their shows instead of their acting abilities. I find most of them over act and when they try to move on to something else it just looks all wrong outside of a Disney style setting. |

I usually miss the old disney channel from the early 2000s and 1990s. I like Ashley Tisdale and I agree with the opinions on That's So Raven and Phil of the Future. I don't like any of the Disney stars, really. I think they're too popular, especially Miley Cyrus and the Jonas Brothers. It kind of unnerves me just to see how popular those two really are. I don't think their music is all that great, either.

I don't like a lot of the DC stars throughout the years. In fact, it seems most of them can't seem to ease out of being a star and getting themselves a reputation since a lot of them doing something radical (Vanessa Hudgens, Miley Cyrus etc)
I do agree with Elliott though about Raven. She is one of my favorites because of her genuine performance. Corbin Bleu is another because of the same reasons.
Most of them just seem like brats to me, if I'm being honest.

Most of the Disney channel stars seem to have a lot of problems later on in life.
Raven Sammone seems to be the only one to have some sort of career after she left The Disney Channel.
A really really good example of what happens when stars go off the deep end is Miley Cirus... Have you seen what she looks like lately? Definitely not a role model for any child now.

I know what you mean. I think all actors who are supposed to be role models for children go off the rails. Lindsay Lohan, Miley Cyrus etc. Amanda Bynes seems to be going off the rails and Cory Monteith just checked himself into rehab. It's sad really.

I'm am going to go out on a limb and say that I loved the Hannah Montana show and never missed an episode. It was one of my all time faves. I can't help it! I loved Miley... and I think all these changes in looks was because she was tired of portraying this "Disney Child Actress" look. They rebel. Most all child actresses. However... I really like Miley's look right now. If I could pull it off, I would rock it! ^^;
Now don't smite me, guys.
Hilary Duff was also one of my childhood faves. Don't see her around much anymore. Sad day.
