As odd as this might sound I really liked reading Hesiod's Theogony. Although it's not much of a story it gives the background of all the gods and Greek mythology, which makes reading other mythology easier.

Fair enough from my last question to you. I was just curious.
When it comes to the theme of "Revenge" how do you feel about it? I mean in both literature and reality. (For it, Agasinst it or Mixed Response)

I don't like it. Period. I think it is stupid and people just end up screwing themselves over, in reality and in literature. I know in literature that half of the time it's the driving force of the novel, but I get so angry at the characters. To me, it's just a really stupid reason to react. I don't mind little things, like when you're messing around with your friends and it's more like retaliation then revenge, and it's not serious.

Hmm.. very interesting
Do you believe there is at least one human being on this planet who is completley angelic or completley demonic?

What's so interesting about my response to revenge?
Human? No. Even saints aren't perfect. As far as demonic goes, there's a lot of messed up people in the world, but I'm not sure if I would call them completely demonic. The closest would be those like psychopaths, they have some weird mental reason that they're that way. I'm not sure how to factor that in to be completely demonic.

I didn't mean to make my last comment sound negative. I just have different views on this topic. So I was only surprised to find you were completley against it. But to each to their own. I wasn't trying to be disrespectful. That's all I meant. I agree 100% on your last answer! Metaphorically speaking, if you were given the oppertunity to live in a fairy tale as opposed to this reality on Earth, would you take it?

I didn't think it was disrespectful, I was just wondering why it was interesting.
Metaphorically yes, I would love to. At the same time really living in a fairy tale world might be exceedingly more directly dangerous and difficult to begin with, considering they are all mostly in the past.

Actually I didn't think of the time-period being a factor but you do make a good point.
On a 1-10 scale, how would you rank yourself as an animal lover?

I would say a 7. I'm not a vegetarian or anything and I can get bored at cuteoverload.com, but I do love them and I have my favorites. I actually have pictures of animals posted all around my dorm, much to the amusement of my roommate.

That's cool.
Did you hear about the Pod of Orcas who attacked and killed a Great White Shark? If you did what do think of that?

No, I hadn't. That's interesting. I wonder what motivated them to do so, self-defense? At the same time, it's not impossible. Orcas are a huge creatures and formidable creatures themselves. If there was a whole pod of them, I could see them taking on a Great White Shark.

^Since I read a book last year in which Orcas started to kill of humans systematically, by the aid of whales, I quite imagined the name 'killer whale' suits the animal xD, not that every orca acts that way any time, but still . What is your view on the orca? Do you see them as 'killers' or as the 'cute' animal from movies like Free Willy or somewhere inbetween? And has your opinion about the behaviour of orcas changed over time?

Little known fact about the film Free Willy that I might add. They didn't use an actual Orca for that film expect for a few random shots. None of which involved any of the cast I should mention. They used an enormous puppet machine. It was very life-like though considering how close they had the physical anatomy of the creature.
According to Orca experts they believe they were feeding on the shark. It's believed with the climate change being so drastic the Orcas are moving south and changing their diet to bigger prey which can include sharks.
In general what do you think of sharks?

Athena - I like orcas. They are strong, beautiful creatures, and, yes, they're dangerous. But, most animals are dangerous, like Panthers (I'm a big fan). I'm aware that they can be "killers" and they are dangerous, but in the most part I find them amazingly graceful.
Silver - I've actually met Keiko, who played Free Willy, a year before he was transferred out of Oregon, and a two years before he passed away. It's horrible the life that he, like other captured animals, have lead.
I don't like sharks, and, no, it is not because of Jaws. To me all they represent power and danger. I don't think they're particularly pretty creatures.

I think I understand what you mean, yet I'm not sure. Do you mean you're afraid of them because they're oppertunistic feeders who occasionally see humans as prey? Or is it because they just don't look as though they're cute and cuddly creatures? Or is there another reason?
