Yeah, I am no good with titles... it kinda shows.
Anyway, I suppose the purpose of this board is to say who I be and the rest. It's all boring, but if you think you can manage it... feel free to lounge on that large Simba style bean bag nearby.
I am the HarbingerxOfxDeath...
Yes, I know it's a weird username, but I like, so there, Nay.
I am English and grew up with Disney in my life. It has helped me to become the person I am today thanks to Walt Disney's lifetime goal of send subliminal messages through his works. Most of these messages are simple ones that children can comprehend.
You want what? An example? Oh, okay...
Let's see... ah, yes! Bambi is the perfect example.
When Bambi becomes separated by his mother during the stampede of sorts when the Great Stag alerts the herd to the impending danger of the Poachers, the message is simple. Stay with your mother and do not stray. Also, you will note that when Bambi is at his most vulnerable, his head is larger, and his legs smaller to maximise the innocent, lost and vulnerability of Bambi. Yet, when Bambi is happy and full of joy, his head is of normal ratio and his legs appear more gangly.
Where was I? Oh yes. Disney. The film that really shaped me was The Lion King. It always has been and always be my favourite of the Disney films. You laugh, you cry, and you can understand what Simba goes through in life. It really does affect me and it always gets the tears flowing. I really want to see the Broadway musical!
And Disney has greater relation to me because I am studying Graphics Design in the hopes of becoming an Illustrator... hopefully freelance. Of course, Graphics Design has a big commitment in Disney, what with the animation and Illustration. You really have to hand it to those guys.
I'm a proud Taurean and try to better myself (Disney's helped considerably with that!) at who I am. I try not to judge a person by their cover, I don't stereotype... yes, blondes can be smart! I'm not blonde but hell, I get a load of bother now because I died my hair auburn. "Ginger"... they don't even know the real colour of ginger. *Shows them root of Ginger*. Yes, it's a root. Check your cookery book or Wiki if you like.
I tend to come across as a strong minded person... and yes, I don't tend to back down till it becomes necessary or if the situation calls for a retreat. I'm a practical person and also a realistic dreamer. Strange, nay?
How can a realist be a dreamer? I guess I'm a bit of both in the end... but my imagination can be rather... wacky.
I'm getting weird looks now from my jungle bum of a feline. I have a cat... he is called Bugsy. Weird as me. Parks himself in the most stupidest of places and grooms at the most inopportune moment. Haha! Jack Sparrow comes to mind! It's intriguing to know that the films were entirely based on a Disney ride. Well... at least the first one was.
I'm already running out of things to say.
I am a big fan of Science Fiction... which dear Walt Disney has also delved into I believe somewhere along the lines. Though, not him personally I don't think. Stitch definitely is playing on a Sci Fi frontage but I think Walt died before then....?
I love Star Trek... you'll come to see that regularly with me. It's annoying though. You can never find the Treksters who role play as well. Just weird.
I don't like Star Wars that much.
I love Japanese music...
I love Beagles and Alsatians
Hm...
I have a weird database of knowledge. Hell, I know the weirdest facts.. some on Disney and Walt himself.
Here they are:
Walt Disney was in fact afraid of Mice yet his most famous character who first featured in Fantasia was indeed Mickey Mouse.
Simba is Lion in Swahili
Aslan is Turkish for Lion
Sarabi is Swahili for Mirage; Illusion
Rafiki means 'Friend' in Swahili
I can probably think of more but it's just gone midnight... I'll add more when I think of the intell...
You can always ask me questions ^_^
