The Dodge has returned!

I know, I tend to stray and come back again. Sorry - Mrs. Nesbit, can you forgive me? I'll try and behave! Ok...so James says that I can't behave, but he says staying is another story.

Well, I figured I'd introduce myself again since it has been a while. I'm sure some of you have heard of me, either through DisneySites!! or known as "James' girlfriend." I hear he talks non-stop about me?

And, yes, I just got back from visiting him a couple of weeks ago. I wish I didn't have to leave, but, unfortunately, I had to... I cannot wait until he comes to NM around my birthday.

Oh...I guess I should say a bit more about me. My all-time favorite Disney film is The Little Mermaid. I resemble Ariel sooo much. My second favorite is Aladdin. Growing up, I was more of a fan of the animal classics. So, TLK, Oliver and Company, and Lady and the Tramp are high on my favorite list.

I was planning to be an animator, but animation is not going where I'd like at the moment. So, I'm planning on changing my major to early elementary education. I love working with children.

Most of the time you will find me searching around for animated news. I enjoy looking for updates on animated films. I guess that's a big part of my Disney obsession: collecting the films! I'm pretty much up-to-date on what and when a film is being released. I also spend my time reading about Walt Disney and how animated films are put together. I enjoy Disney History a lot.

I worked in WDW on a college internship last Spring. I worked in Magic Kingdom. I enjoyed being part of the magic there. I hope I return one day. That was one of the biggest thrills of my life.

I have to say that I love your icon and banner! B.E.N. was my favorite character in Disney's Treasure Planet. He's quite the character.

It's nice to meet you too. ECE is going well so far. I'm about to enter my 2nd semester and I am learning so much--about kids and people in general. I like it!

Wow. That's great to hear! It's kind of hard for me to switch majors in my Sophmore year, but I'm hoping it's worth it. What kind of topics do you learn?

I just finished a psychology course last month. Most of the textbooks deal with knowing how children think and learn...how they see the world and relate to other people. I think in this next semester, I'll be covering a course on selecting children's literature and stuff like that. It's been a great experience so far.

That sounds really interesting. I think I'm going to really enjoy this course of study. Would you happen to have any tips for me?

Hmm...I guess the best advice I can offer is keep an open mind. I found that in some of the courses (psychology in particular), there was some material that I disagreed with. There's a lot of ethical issues in the field of psychology and I kinda struggled with the reading and everything because some of the experiments used to back certain theories described in the textbooks are questionable. I had to keep reminding myself to retain the information so I could pass the exams even if I disagreed with what I was learning.
