It would be very difficult to miss how this film has made headlines for one reason or another. And since this product is under Disney's name. It deserves it's own thread to share reviews and build discussion on.
I did see this film yesterday. However I shall refrain from saying a peep until the rest of board has grown more familiar with it.
Here is what can be said. "When Tony Stark ((Ironman) and Bruce Banner (the Hulk) decide to jump start a dormant peacekeeping program called Ultron, (James Spader) things go horribly wrong, it's up to earth's mightiest heroes to stop the villainous artificial intelligence from enacting on his plans." Description courtesy of IMDB.com.
What can not be overlooked at this point is the global box office success. As predicted, it's record holder on it's own terms. Though analysts have discovered not quite to the point of it's predecessor. Be that as it may. Through one weekend alone it's already surpassed $600 million. New territories are set for release later this month. Which includes China and Japan. The United Kingdom, Brazil, Australia, Russia, and South Korea will follow soon after. Do I expect them to reach the billion dollar mark by the time this has finished it run? Yes! Do I expect it to trump last month's mega-hit Furious 7? (Over $1 billion, four hundred million thus far) No, they had way too much of a lead and are still in premiere mode.
Whatever the final tally is, I promise it will not be small.
As for the film's quality. I'll start revealing my opinion after we seen a spike in commentary on this thread.
For now most critics have responded with positive reviews. Only less then enthusiastic in a side by side comparison to the original.
So please share any thoughts.
