That worked. Honestly, I don't care for some of those because I feel like they're implying that Disney is setting up false ideals of beauty and life for young children, especially young girls.
I know that dragons aren't real, but I can still find a story about the valiant prince defeating the forces of evil to rescue a wonderful girl inspirational and hopeful. And I will also note that happily ever after requires a lot of hard work and both husband and wife "rescue" each other in the end.
From Cinderella, young girls can learn that kindness compassion even in the face of tremendous adversity are what constitute true beauty and will, in time, lead to happiness.
Belle reminds us that intelligence is a tremendous quality and that showing kindness to others even if they're a beast, can begin to soften a heart and help one become a better person. This never means that one should remain in an abusive relationship, but rather that people can change and should be given that opportunity.
Tiana teaches us that hard work helps make your dreams come true, but that dreams are always best when shared.
