So, a question for those of you that write fan fiction. And not necessarily Disney fan fiction, but fan fiction in general.
I've always thought of writing something as one thing, but putting it out there for others to read is something else entirely. My question is how did you decide to start posting it publicly? Meaning onto sites like Tumblr or FanFiction.net? Because I think of the hundreds of people out there who are writing things that no one else will probably see.
And I may or may not be considering starting to write fan fiction myself......

I've made up fanfics in my head my whole life. I hardly ever wrote them down and never told anyone. I thought I was the only weirdo who made up stories about Disney movies and had their own characters and stuff. Years and years later when I found out that fanfics were a thing and that there were entire websites and online communities dedicated to it, I realized that I wasn't the only one, that I wasn't weird, and that gave me the courage to start posting my own fanfics.

I loved coming up with ideas and plots for stories and such and read tons of fanfiction back when I was in school. After that I thought how cool it would be to actually put those ideas down. For me, the key is to write it for yourself. I've seen a lot of fanfiction sky rocket, when they started out absolutely no one reading or commenting or anything. If you write a good story and continue to write, then the views and reviews will slowly come in. I'm always up for reading new stuff, so let us know if you do decide to post and good luck

I've written my stories down on paper, but I never had much of a desire to put then online. If you want to do it, I say go for it.
