Wow! So after 10 years of captivity, three girls - Amanda Berry, Gina Dejesus, and Michele Knight - were recovered on Monday, along with Berry's daughter who is 6 and reportedly born in captivity. All this just miles from their original homes in Cleveland, Ohio. The sad thing is that Berry's mom, who fought so hard to find her daughter, passed away a few years back. Her husband, Berry's father, claimed she died from a broken heart. The chief suspects - Ariel Castro, Pedro Castro, and Onil Castro - are currently being held and awaiting charges. Due to the circumstances of the case, the charging period has been changed from 36 hours to 48 hours. Ariel Castro just lost his job as a school bus driver in November. However, everyone who knew him was shocked. Said he was a good guy... never did anything that would cause anyone to suspect him doing a heinous crime such as this! I believe this is absolutely crazy. How would they be able to hide the three girls for that long? Did no one hear their screams or anything? It just pains me to know that they were held that long... Thank goodness for Charles Ramsey for being there when he was! ^^ And on a lighter note, I am showing Charles Ramsey's interview. Love how he was "eatin his McDonalds". He is such a hero. Anyone else have thoughts on this case?

Weh, I wish I could watch YT on my phone. I saw this all over Twitter late last night and this morning. What a miracle to find the three girls after all this time, but it is bittersweet at the same time for the girl's mother who was trying to find them.
I want to go a bit further about this whole ordeal because it was all released at once and I'm not entirely sure what the exact facts are. I'm just glad they're safe and sound.

I remember seeing the headlines on AOL the day it happened and skimming over a few paragraphs of it - then again when I came home from work and my mom was telling me all about it.
Since then I haven't really re-read anything or checked into newer versions of everything, but I think it's an amazing story. Mostly because they found all the girls alive. I mean normally when people disappear I assume the worst for them after 72 hours. ._.
So I'm glad to read that they actually had survived, but I don't think I could imagine what their lives had been like. Especially for being taken away from their families for so long!

It would have been so miserable being cooped up in that basement for 10 years. I heard on the radio this morning that in those ten years they only went outside twice, and that was is full disguise to the garage! They are charging Ariel Castro this morning with 3 counts rape and 4 counts kidnapping. May he and all involved get what they deserve.

I have still yet to hear about another girl being found. Do you perhaps have the link to the article or something you would like to share?
