I am! Can't wait to see who you've cosplayed as! ;D Thanks I think I'll make another thread for completed stuff~! First off in my progress': I've got a convention in 2 and a half weeks in which I'm making 3 costumes for: Harley Quinn from Arkham City; an Archbishop from Ragnarok and Nurse Joy from Pokemon. (Click the names for reference pictures!) I haven't really made a whole lot of progress yet, having only started yesterday but I've made up most of Harley's corset base (needs eyelets which I'm doing on Friday at uni before I can fit it properly)  Separate pieces I have sewn it up since, but for some reason the image won't resize - but I'll hopefully get that up soon~ I know it doesn't look like much right now, but by Friday it should be a bit more interesting and I'll be able to take a photo on my body so it won't looks so lumpy~ I've also done a quick make-up test for her  |

I LOVE Harley Quinn! She and The Joker are my favorite characters from the Batman franchise! I can tell you're gonna rock this costume!

Same! Thank you I hope to do a few of her different outfits over the year, so keep yer eyes peeled ;P So today I've been getting on with the Archbishop costume. I've made up the corset, just need to cut the bones to size and edge it before adding the chest details and then moving on to everything else  check out my awesome PJ pants :'D Everything from the white thread downwards will be covered by the waistband and skirt pieces, but I don't want to cut them off as they help keep the shape of the rest of it  The corset isn't waist reducing because I'm lazy and don't want to add in more bones, and because the channels for them would ruin the appearance of the corset itself. |

Thanks Butters they've both taken a back burner recently as it turns out the even they're being made for is looking to be pretty rubbish and not worth the effort - but I'll get them done soon as I have the materials For now, some Archbishop progress:  Excuse the awful coloring of the photos - crappy indoor lighting + camera phone. Ok, so I've been really slow with this costume - just a little bit a day, but it's getting there! I've had some drama with the corset not fitting so the alterations have made the front look a little iffy - including the fact it was too short. This has been remedied with the strip at the top, which will thankfully be covered by a gold strip from the design! The trailing tail.. things are all but complete - the white ones need the little crosses, and I'm tempted to make the gold ones a little thinner, but they're ok for now. Jacket needs sleeves and collar, so that's all good. Skirt needs the front panel and the lace & sheer butt skirts to be completed. Bodice just needs to be sewn up completely and gold details added, then should be good to go. |

So I finally finished the Archbishop! Sadly only two pictures of it have shown up so far   Glad it's over with, now! I might wear it again if I ever get the staff done |

Been working on Caroline~!  So much pleating has gone into this thing - over 35m of fabric in the pleats! Almost there with the dress  I've just got to add the sleeve and neckline ruffles now! I'm going to take the bodice in a little via the back beforehand, though to make it fit a little better. Now with it all on I do wish I'd made the skirt start lower and made it so I could wear a corset underneath as it all feels very bulky but no turning back now! The wig is almost done, will have to do that and a make-up test tomorrow! Forgot all about the stockings, so having to compromise with bright blue tights cut down and stitched underneath black stockings.. One leg is with stocking, the other without.. Thank you conveniently placed flash :'D I'd also like to announce a disney related costume: going to be making Tinkerbell and Terence for me and the boyfriend (because I'm super lovely and want to bully him into it ) |
