I think I only liked them when my best friend was on the same shift. She made everything so fun and kept me pumped for the whole night

That can be a great motivator! I just got my new desk at work and all of the people that were hired with me were moved around. I dunno what it's going to be like starting tomorrow.

Oh, so you guys won't be working in the same area? That's a little disappointing, especially because you all started together.

I know! We were all together from Jan 7th. Now our desk are all over the place. I found where my desk is going to be tomorrow. I'm all the way on the opposite side of everyone and the only thing that makes me happy is that I am by the window!

Aww, that sucks! Building friendships in the workplace plays such an important role in efficiency and quality. I hope your new space has equally friendly people!

Everyone at work is wonderful! I'm sure I'll have some more friends in no time.

Oh, that's good. You're so lucky to work in an environment like that! Also, to have a consistent schedule. I don't miss the unsure hours at the bar

My schedule might actually change in two weeks. We just did a shift bid so I won't know what my new schedule is until tomorrow.

Oh? Does that mean a possibility of working in the weekends or just shifting hours?

We're not open on the weekends. Thank goodness.
Just a shift in hours. I would't mind starting around 10 instead of 8:30. Gives me an extra hour of sleep each night.

Oh, that'd be good then! How long does it take to get to work?

30 mins by bus so it's not so bad. Could be worse I suppose. Took me an hour by bus to get to my last job lol

Yeah, I remember it took me about two hours from uni to work. Only because the bus and train was always so unreliable.

The bus system here is really reliable. It always arrives on time. The bus system in my old city however.... well... was just awful!
