Well I listened to the Bette Midler version. I really like both. Bette Midler's is much richer in insterments, but I really like how Heidi's is very soft in the beginning and gradually gets stronger and bolder and is still so beautiful and soft. That is why I am going to have to go with Heidi's version.

Yeah I really like both equally so it was hard to vote but now I kind of wish I had gone with Heidi because I really agree that her voice gave the song the perfect feeling that it was written to have. So yeah I think I would change my vote if that were possible.

Ok I finally listened to Bette's version, after reading this thread...and I was kind of let down. I didn't like it as much as you all ^. I think Heidi has a much better intrepretation of the words, and her voice is much better imo.
Maybe it's just because I'm used to the movie version, but I listened to Bette's a few times, and I still think Heidi's is better.

I like the movie version, because that's the only one I've ever listened to. I didn't even know there was a Bette Midler vesion.
