Tim Burton once again returns to Disney. And with Stop-Motion Animation no less. (Think Nightmare Before Christmas) He directs and produces a film that is a tribute and funny poke at the classic that is Frankenstein. The story is about "a young boy who uses science to bring his dog back to life." What will follow after is sure to be both hilarious and a caotic mess. Executive Producer Don Hahn (Also of The Lion King & Beauty and the Beast) has labeled it a dramedy. The cast includes Winona Ryder, Martin Short, Catherine O'Hara, Martin Landau and Charlie Tahan. This film is set to be released on October 5th 2011.
I like the idea for this film. I think it sounds great.

Just saw the trailer of this film. OMG! This movie has "Tear-Jerker" written all over it. In the best possible way. I have not seen the original short that this film is based on. Nor do I want to. I need to see it fresh. It will be a black and white film. Very unique for the contemporary world of film-making. I could care less though. I'm not joking when I say the trailer drove me to tears. I was not expecting that! I can't wait to see this film. Usually I'm not too enthusiastic about Tim Burton material. This one, well I'm an animal lover (impeticular a dog lover) so it it's an ideal choice for me.
