I agree. This hasn't been Disney's finest year by any means.

I'm alright all things considering. I've been kind of stressed lately. Work has been so grueling. I just keep trying to think of my trip to WDW to cheer me up.
How about you? How have you been?

aw I'm really sorry to hear that. I hope things get better for you. I've been good! Well, I am kind of frustrated about work since this week and next week they gave me no hours. But I am really liking my job.

Thank you. I've been pushing through it. I also keep thinking about my Birthday next week. And the re-release of The Lion King in 3-D! If I may quote Emperor Kuzco- "That will be my Birthday gift to me. I'm so happy!" Glad somebody is enjoying their job. Why arn't they letting you work for a couple of weeks?

that's good. oooh birthday! that's exciting. And I am excited for the lion king as well. I most likely won't go see it, but I am glad they are doing it. Every time I see the commercials for it I get excited.
yeah, I am lucky that I like my job for sure. I don't know. From what I hear that is just something they do to part timers. They are also training a lot of people right now because there are a new batch of college program people that have arrived.

Blu-ray is coming next month. I missed the re-release for Imax back in 2002. If I had seen that, I probabaly wouldn't be going. Since nobody wanted to take me then, I'm going now. Just like the re-release of Titanic next year. I didn't see it when it came out in 1997. So I'm not going to miss the oppertunity this time around.
That bites. Who wants a schedule like that? So if you don't mind me asking. What types of benefits do you get by working at the park?

ahh, I didn't see it in Imax either. I would have preferred that. I didn't know Titanic was being re-released. Interesting.
It does. I keep hoping one of my CP friends will want to give me some of their hours or I can pick up some hours online, but no luck so far. As far as benefits go, there is quite a lot! I actually don't know all of the benefits I get yet. I know I have my main gate pass which allows me and 3 guests into the park (acting as a 1 day park hopper) with free parking. I get 12 of those a year as a part timer. I also get discount tickets at Universal. I get about %15 off of merchandise and food I think (more or less). And I also get discounts at random places like reebok and other stores. And those are the discount benefits, I also get health insurance.

Well it is my favorite film of all-time. I was only five when it orignally came out. When I watched How to Train Your Dragon last year in teh Cinema. It made me kind of sad I wasn't able to see The Lion King as an adult. I appriciate films (especially animated films) so much more now. So when I heard Disney was doing a re-release on my Birthday week. I just about had a heart attack. The wait was woth it.
In 3-D of course. Popular option for filmmakers these days. It's a tribute to the actuall 100th Anniversary.
With the exception not having hours on a certain week. Doesn't sound too bad. What are your favorite places or things to do?

It's the 3D that scares me. But they can't ruin it, and that movie easily leans itself to being 3D. The colors and shots, it would be easy. hmmm maybe I should see it.
No, it really isn't. though honestly the pay isn't spectacular, at least it's pay. What are my favorite places and things to do as a guest or as a worker? Which are you asking?

If you mean The Lion King. I'm not worried anymore. I saw a sneak preview in 3-D. The opening number was extrodinary! Very few films are meant to be in 3-D. This one works
I am curious how they'll convert Titanic though. That should be interesting.
I initially meant as a guest on your day off. But now that you mention it. What is you favorite part of the job?

I was talking about The Lion King. I didn't know you meant that Titanic was being redone in 3D. hmmm... that I can't see as much. I am glad that TLK is definitely done well. as a guest... My favorite park is EPCOT. I love going there and the world show case. I like interacting with the people working there that are from those respective countries. And since I am not hugely into roller coasters, the rides there are my speed I also really like Downtown Disney. I think I like it so much because I have sentimental value there, after having participated in the Festival of the Masters multiple years. It might be shocking but I love the Art of Disney store hehehe. As a job... I like working in the arcade. I like being able to give people prizes and making them happy. I also like working on the dock and being able to interact with people a bit. But the best part of my job in general is it's just like our recreation motto says, we are the vacation away from the vacation. People come to swim, rent boats, bike and play games instead of going to the parks so overall the atmosphere is more relaxed.

Pretty good reviews from what I read so far from the critics who went to the premiere in California. I'm going to be there Opening Night. My patience has worn out. Not sure about how Titanic will look. IfIi had seen it way back when, it woudn't matter. Curse my need to watch classic films in tthe Cinema. We just might have to meet at Epcot. I loved that park too! I like that motto. I have to go eat dinner. I might be back on later. See you later.

haha, I do not have that urge to see classic movies in the theater. Maybe because I just hardly ever see movies in the theater. I am good just watching them at home. If you want to meet at EPCOT that works really, since it is your vacation, which ever park you want to go back to a second time should be the one you go back to and I will go to which ever one that is. Okey dokey. have a good dinner!

Going to the Cinema has been always been a favorite activity of mine. I'm also very lucky to have one where it's pretty cheap.
Ever since my mother told me I get an extra pass to the park of my choice. I've been trying to decided which one I'd rather go to. It's mainly between Magic Kingdom and Epcot. While I enjoyed Hollwood Studios and Animal Kingdom. I only feel the need to only visit those once.
I just may end up putting the name of both parks on several scraps of paper then picking one out of a hat. Haha!
