Those are great! What our quotes have in common is about finding joy and inner peace. It's easy to confuse and mislabel these terms when what many people seek is desire. But desire can not bring you true joy and inner peace.
Another one of my favorites is- "Think of a tree. How it grows around it's wounds. If a branch breaks off. It doesn't stop, it keeps reaching towards the light."
From the Terrance Malick film The New World. Always keep this one in mind when you feel all hope is lost. If a tree can do it, why can't you?

I think while I have tons of quotes that I just love, my favorite do tend to be those. And I totally agree.
And that is another great quote! I really like that one.

Thank you. I think these are quotes people need to here now and forever more. Here's one that I kind of made myself. I had some inspiration though.
There's been that famous motto in sports for years. "Whoever said 'winning isn't everything' probably lost."
Well here's what I say to that person who created that quote.
"Whoever said that probabaly never understood the difference between being confident and being cocky. A confident person understands loosing is apart of life but strives to win the next time. A cocky person refuses to accept this fact."
What do you think?

I agree. And what you said is definitely true. And the other quote is true, but it's like you said, they can live with failure and grow from it. By the way, here is the Everybody is Free (to wear sunscreen) video/ speech by Baz Luhrmann. tell me what you think about it. www.youtube.com/watch?v=xfq_A8nXMsQ

Thank you.
I remember that! You showed it to me awhile back. Ironically I think we were on the same subject then as well.

No, no. It fits the conversation.
I think in this day and age this is the common motto. "You want to eat your cake and have it to." But that's not possible. It's the same thing as believing you have found true love when in reality it's only an infatuation.

Basically it means people only want the things in life that are easy and/or don't have to work for it. Yet they still want to have a deep reward that follows.
Well you can't recieve the rewardif you don't work hard for it.

that's what I would have most likely concluded, but I still think it is on odd saying despite agreeing with the sentiment.

When I heard it intially. I didn't understand it either. But now it makes perfect sense.
Have you ever had that last piece cake and once you finished it you still wish you had another?
That's the literal statement. It can be meshed together with philosophy.

I like to use pizza in phrase because I'm not a cake fan either. Hehe!
I do remember when I was younger. That's how I behaved. Just another slice of pizza. You don't bother savor the taste with the one you have because you're so eager to get your hands on another.
