Am surprised there is no mention on him on the whole forum (at least during the timespan of 7000 days that I as search-engining in ;D)
I just recently stumbled over this again, while browsing Cartoons and Childhood Memories... It was my fav cartoon in Kindergarten and it somehow has that special something... I still love it xD The characters are adorable, the animation is great for its time and LOL Jim Cummings, I really start to love that name, even if I grew up with the German version and Kai Taschner (who is a master of voices as well).
And it makes me think... There are no Themetimes like the "Disney Afternoon" or multiple segments like "Raw Toonage" anymore are there? House of Mouse maybe, but that's all I can think of...
The 90's were definitely the best time of cartoon series <3 And while Bonkers is - I gotta give him that - a show that makes very LITTLE sense, it STILL contains tension. Like real "ZOMG what happens now, WATCH OUT" Tension xD That's something that I seem to miss in a lot of today's cartoons :/
Also... Long live the Pilote Episodes Villains of back then. They ROCKED >D The Collector, Taurus Bulba, Merlock... yes yes x3

I didn't like the show much. It was okay, something to watch if nothing else was on, but for me, it was lacking something.
But gosh, yes, I wish they still had the Disney Afternoon. Actually, it seems like cartoons in general are on TV less than they used to be. A lot of kids TV is live action nowadays

I too wish they still had the Disney afternoon! I miss it a lot. I, however, was not a big fan of Bonkers. I'd watch it once in a while if there was never really anything on. I found it really funny at first and watched it all the time. After watching the episodes more than twice I got bored with it

I've never heard of it.
Perhaps it was a show they never aired in the UK or perhaps it's an old show and the UK Disney Channel only want to show more recent programmes (like constant repeats of Hannah Montana and Sonny With A Chance). I don't know.

It's an older show. I think it aired in the early-to-mid 90's.

Hmm, not one of the better shows but it was alright. I don't remember watching very much of this show though. Prolly because I was at that stage where that would be considered a "boys" show

I am with most people here.. I watched it a few times and while it was entertaining, it was by far not my favorite. I thought there were better shows on at the time. I equated the show with Roger Rabbit, another show/movie I didn't particularly care for.

I liked it when I was little, but when I saw reruns on Toon Disney I realized how mediocar (sp?) it was.

I didn't care as much for the show, but I did watch it occasionally. I was thinking of the theme song the other day. I like a lot of those older theme songs.

I don't recall ever having seen the show, but it's my understanding that Bonkers was an effort by Disney to create a character as zany and crazy as Roger Rabbit that the Walt Disney Company had complete ownership of. They had to share ownership of Roger Rabbit with Steven Spielberg, among others.
