I love reading all these fun stories! I have never been to a Disney Park before and have always dreamed of going. The characters I'd most like to meet are Ariel in Ariel's Grotto, Chip and Dale, Mickey Mouse, Donald and Goofy. I want to meet all my childhood favourites. My parents got their first opportunity to go to Disney a few years ago. My aunt sent my parents as a thank you for babysitting her kids for over 10 years. My mom was so excited to go. She was determined to get her picture taken with as many characters as she possibly could. I was so excited for her (and jealous ) that she got to meet her two favourite characters, Chip and Dale. She hasn't stopped talking about it since and it's been almost 3 years since they have gone. Someday... it will be my turn.

^ I hope you can get to go you will have a great time think your parents will go back again? I'm sure they would love to go back but when they went the first time it was a present from my aunt and uncle. They have a Disney time share and they used some of their yearly points to send them. They would have never had the opportunity to go if it wasn't for them. My parents can't afford such luxuries.

I have never been to a Disney Park before either. I'd most like to meet Sleeping Beauty and Jasmine and Aladdin. I'd also like to meet Goofy and of course Mickey Mouse. I would probably be a huge geek and get their autographs too!

So I was researching finding Peter Pan at Disneyland in CA on youtube, and every video featured the same guy playing Peter. I was forced in to watching him and the more I saw the more I liked! HE has this HUGE fan base, multiple websites dedicated to him, facebook groups, youtube accounts, etc. He is nicknamed "spieling Peter" because he is just amazingly talented at staying in character! He is famous for running around the park playing pranks, accepting "crowing contests", humoring guests by providing shout-outs to their friends in a video camera, playing with Alice and Hatter, etc. I haven't met him yet but it's pretty much my new goal! If anyone is going to Disneyland anytime soon it's probably worth it to try to find him. I think he has worked there from 2007 to present. Random clip on youtube probably from one of his stalkers : www.youtube.com/watch?v=Y4vu4HNJi3I

I don't know if it's the same Peter, but I remember hearing on a Disney World podcast about an experience a guest had at Disneyland. They were standing in line to meet a character and heard the person behind them complain quite loudly about how long the line was to see the character. When they turned around to commiserate, they learned that the complainer was none other than Peter Pan.

I renewed my pass today!! Sadly, a huge motivation behind this was to meet Rapunzel and Flynn Rider. It was totally worth waiting around fantasyland for them to come (it was raining) and then in line forever. They cut the line off RIGHT behind our group. Phew! But that meant we got to talk with them and not have pressure! It was great. So here's the story: Rapunzel asked for our names and then she introduced herself and "Flynn". I asked if he wanted to be called Eugene or if that was just between them. He said he prefers that, and Rapunzel said he actually prefers Eugenious (hahaha), and then they talkled amongst themselves for a while in character. My friends met them last week (without really seeing the movie) and they said their Flynn was "a butthead" because he didn't really do anything and he rolled his eyes in the picture (I think that's his signature pose). So this time, after seeing the movie, my friend said to Flynn (even though it was a different guy) "Last time you rolled your eyes in the picture and it ruined everything because we were looking really cute, so..." and then I said "We were wondering if you could do the smolder." You could tell he was not ok with that lol because he was giving excuses for not doing it but Rapunzel told him they had a deal he could do it blah blah blah (they bantered amongst each other for a while, very in character, very cute and entertaining. They really acted like they were in love! He called her "Blondie"). It was great! They threw in soo many movie references, we were totally squealing. The picture didn't turn out very well (blurry, poor lighting, etc) but he tried to do the smolder! He must've been having an off day though

Rapunzel and Flynn are an absolute riot together. They're as much fun as Chip and Dale. Flynn was giving Rapunzel a hard time and she said that this was her life now since she agreed to be with him forever. Flynn then asked me "isn't she irresistible?" Later on, she warned someone to keep their valuables away from Flynn since she's trying to teach him not to steal anymore and he called her Blondie. When picture time came, Flynn told me to show the camera my smolder.
After that, he told me to try growing a soul patch, and Rapunzel told me that it wasn't necessary. The only other couple I've seen quite like Rapunzel and Flynn is Han Solo and Princess Leia from Star Wars.
They were so much fun to meet that whenever I'm at Disneyland, I will try to see them. That puts them in very rare territory as far as characters that I must meet when I visit Disneyland.

Thought I'd make an update to this thread pertaining to Flynn and Rapunzel. If they're together, ask Flynn what's in the satchel. He may question you or wonder if you're a thug or a ruffian, but if you reassure him that you're not, he may pull out Rapunzel's tiara. When I saw them at Walt Disney World, he even held it over Rapunzel's head for the picture.

I've done this twice; the first time they were really reluctant and started talking about Turkey and it was pretty awkward, but he eventually did it. The second time he brought up our satchels so I asked what he was carrying and he pulled it out without any care. Rapunzel is still at Disneyland, and I'm pretty sure Flynn is off on adventures or something most of the time. But when I went a couple of weeks ago we saw them walking through the park together so we went and visited them. Nice surprise! I guess you never can know who will be in the park that day.

Both times when I went to Disneyworld in Florida on holiday with my parents way back in 1998 and 2000 I unfortunately never got to meet any of the Disney Princesses which I was totally gutted about, but I did get to meet both Minnie Mouse, Mickey Mouse and Captain Hook from what I can just about recall which made up for this dissappointment

These stories are all great. I've only been to Disneyworld once, 15 years ago. I wish I'd been less shy about approaching characters so that I'd have some fun stories to share. ;D

I went to Disney World in Florida in 2010. Sadly, I didn't really interact with the characters very much. But I got to meet Goofy and Chip 'n Dale. They were super dooper cute! I was too busy staring at the castle. Oooooo... and the parade they hold at night was spectacular. The Ursula float was the coolest.
