Disney Channel Turns 23

I forgot to say that April 18, 1983. Disney Channel made its debut across the country. It was a great channel. 23 years later, it stinks! I used to watch the Disney Channel since I was a kid. I remember shows like "Good Morning, Mickey!", "Donald Duck Presents", "Mouseterpiece Theatre", "Mousercise", "Welcome to Pooh Corner" and many others. But I also remember "Vault Disney" a lot. I used to taped it off of Disney Channel during the overnight where they had those old Disney films and TV shows. Sadly, it was let go a few years ago. I missed "Vault Disney". Now they replaced with too much teen shows. I don't like shows like "That's So Raven", "Zack & Cody", "Kim Possible" and so many shows that are garbage.

Well what can I tell you. Disney Channel has been around for 23 years. I posted it on my blog about the history of how it started and things like that. Here it is.

i wouldn't say that it was better back then because i do like some of the new shows because i understand the reason behind them times change new generations come and you have to change with the times so i am behind just about anything disney does.

The problem is that Disney has changed from family shows to "tween" shows. There's nothing wrong with you if you do enjoy them. But I can say that Walt would not be proud to have his name on something that only 20% of the population can enjoy.
