Well, I think filth is a bit strong for such a cute movie. I agree It does have historical inaccruacies like nearly every Disney movie that is a about a specific historical era or event. No one knew that they were going to marry the commoners, Mulan faked their deaths.

She did? I don't remember that, I thought she impersonated one of them and then when she was caught she gave this speech about duties yo your heart. I only saw it once though. btw Filth was my BFF's word, I myself do not think its %100 bad I saw some cuteness in it. She and her mom are the one's that thought it was horrible.

Okay... Hi there, I'm the new one and I'm about to bump this topic and leave a bad first impression. I found this board over google through this topic and I read it and I was like "wtf?"
You use the word "cute" very loosly, do you? That movie was a disaster. Mulan 1 was about a war and Mulan 2 is about "oh I love you bussy, boo" and filled up with cliches and sooo many "incidents"... Like there are "incidentally" 3 princesses for exactly 3 soldiers and stuff... no thank you. I couldn't even be sad at that wanna-be tragic scene because that was so... unimaginative... you find a scene like that in every 3rd movie... In retrospect I think this movie is crap... the animation style is totally off making it seem more like a cartoon than a full length animation movie (which it even isn't with the lenght of 75 min... poor). The only thing that nowadays makes this movie worth to be seen is that the German version kept his celeb-Mushu voice, and I'm crazy for that comedian.
Where is your crit? Excuse me, but even if it might not look like it right now, I'm a huge Mulan fan and this sequel was a dissappointment. Just because it's made by Disney doesn't mean it's the awesomest thing in the world... I have to agree with LauraHonest there, since Cinderella 2 was simply embarrassing and so totally not worth its money. It's the best example for the sucky Disney Sequels... the actual only REALLY neat sequel I've seen yet was Lilo & Stitch 2.

I still think this is one of my favorite sequels. I put it on for my nephew today. He's only 1 1/2, and he's starting to react to what's going on in movies and tv shows. He got really upset during the part where the wagon goes out of control and the soldiers have to get the princesses out before it goes over the cliff. Liam wasn't crying, but he just stared at the tv with a troubled expression.

I really enjoyed Mulan 2. I really loved the fact that everyone got their perfect mate. And it explored the fact that not every relationship is perfect, but that issues can be worked through.

Mulan 2 is still one of my favourite sequels. The songs were all original and the story line was really deep and heart felt. I loved how the girls all found their true love just like their mentor Mulan. I still tear up each time I watch it as well. I think they did a great job on expanding the story of Mulan through a great historical fiction story.

I was going back through the comments and the only thing I can agree to dislike is Mushu trying to break up the lovely couple. He worked so hard to get them together. But I didn't hate it. Just seems kind of... Defeating of the purpose, so to speak.
