At night, when visitors have gone home, animals at the New York City Zoo go wild and live it up by partying under the stars and hosting nightly games of "turtle curling." One night's adventures lead to a teenage lion cub named Ryan accidentally getting shipped back to Africa. His father, the regal Samson, and friends embark on a daring rescue mission. Samson is accompanied by dim-witted anaconda Larry, an overly-smart giraffe with an undersized height-complex named Bridget, and Nigel, a koala who's sick and tired of being "cute." Along the way, the team encounters Benny, a no-nonsense city squrirel with some secret knowledge. This CGI comedy/adventure is an in-house production done by CORE Technologies and Complete Pandemonium. Early literature suggests a "unique brand of photo-realistic computer animation." At the helm is Steve "Spaz" Williams, a visual effects supervisor whose only previous directing work was in commercials such as Blockbuster Video's hamster promos. The voice cast includes Kiefer Sutherland, Jim Belushi, Janeane Garofalo, Eddie Izzard, George Carlin, and William Shatner. Thematically, it sounds a lot like Madagascar, Dreamworks' imminent CGI comedy about Central Park Zoo animals transported to Africa, but maybe moviegoers will have already forgotten that one a year later. Due out April 2006. www.ultimatedisney.com/intheaters.html

This seems like it will be a great movie. My only worry is that it sounds like Madagascar which is out in theatres now I believe... I like the storyline to this movie better though.

What's wrong with Madagascar? But yes, this movie does have a better story line

I'm still going to see this movie. I'm not certain of it. I want to see a trailer first.

Ya, but trailers are sometimes not the best to use as a rating. Sometimes they only put the good parts in the trailers. I usually look for ratings in the newspaper or the internet

There is a rumor that Disney has cancelled this project. I don't know if it's true or not...but that's what I have heard. I will not support Disney's animation department until they bring back traditional animated features. So I don't care if this is cancelled or not.
