Not only is it not Pixar's style but I think from the recent trend of 3D films that I've seen (I.e. Coraline, Monsters Vs. Aliens, etc) I think it can be safe to say that the animation studios have made a smart move going with 3D, and I think with their re-release of Toy Story and Toy Story 2 later in the year, I reckon Pixar are gonna take another big step up in the animation world. I don't think we should worry

This seems like it will be a fun movie to see. Actually I haven't heard of this until I saw it here. (we don't have TV.) But it certainly got my interest, and I think it might get my daddys if I ever get to show it to him.

I have faith that it is still going to be a good movie, and I still hope I can see it when it comes out. I was just concerned about the 3D aspect. But it is true, Bolt was in 3D and it was good, and I heard Monsters Vs Aliens was good too.. So maybe they are just doing what everyone else is doing.

I've seen all of these already. They're perfectly harmlees. No spoilers whatso-ever! Just a few peeks at how naive and annoying Russel is to Mr. Fredrickson. (haha) I have to say like everybody else has said this film just looks like the perfect feel-good film of the summer. In fact so far this year it's been the only animated film I'm eager to see. (Most of the other films just look too silly with no layers of intelligence) As for the WALL-E comparison as to how this film won't be as successful I will do no such thing. WALL-E is of course an outstanding film! But it's "Up's turn to shine. All my expectations from that film have no relation to this one. I have no doubt there's far more substance in this then what the trailer could ever show. Look at Pixar's films like Toy Story, A Bug's Life, and Monsters Inc. They're trailers showed all those gags and pieces of action to get everybody's attention. Of course these films have more then enough of that. But lurking beneth the surface is a fair amount of pain and grief. I fail to see how the creators at Pixar would leave out those touching moments where your heart weeps. Me and my best friend can't wait! I could use a good laugh and cry from a film.

Whilst I'm still extremely looking forward to this I have a MAJOR gripe with Pixar. After having spent part of my day, planning my summer around what films are coming out etc (sad I know ) I stumbled across the release date of Up for us UK dwellers and I'm both angry and confused. October 16th we're to apparently get it. Compare this to the MAY 29th, thats like 2 days! for our American counterparts. I don't understand why with films like these they can't be distributed and opened on the same day, we got Wall-E and Cars way earlier than that. This is why I can't wait for all cinemas to go digital and to get digital copies of films sent to them as opposed to shipping films out.

that is a very good point. I plan to see it Friday when it comes out. I think it is rediculous that the UK and others are not able to see it for SO long! It is very stupid.
