Pixar's new film which is destined for a summer release, this year deals with Carl Fredricksen, a 78 year old man. When Carl was a child, he met and eventually married a girl named Ellie who grew up in a small midwestern town. Ellie always dreamed of exploring the mountains, but she died before she got a chance. Now, when developers threaten to move him into an assisted living home, Carl decides to fulfill his promise to Ellie. To accomplish this, he befriends a chubby eight-year-old Wilderness Explorer named Russell. The two opposites match up for thrilling adventures as they encounter wild terrain, unexpected villains, and all the terrifying creatures that wait in the jungle. (Courtesy of wikipedia) I'm surprised there's not a thread for this! The trailer looks absolutely hilarious I have to say and sounds like it's going to be a really great film. It's Pixar, as if it wouldn't! I'm personally extremely psyched for this. Particularly after seeing the trailer a couple of weeks ago: uk.youtube.com/watch?v=nvyLJzNerUwI also love the little Pixar intro at the start of that trailer =D Thoughts?

"Please let me in!" "No."
I LOL'd. ;D
The imagry of the house flying with the heluim ballons reminded me of that urban legend of the man who flew on his lawn chair. (Didn't the Mythbusters do a segment on that...?)
Anyway, it looks like it should be good.

Haha yeah I LOL'd at that bit too Xp And yeah it reminded me of that too! Looks like a pretty sweet movie in my eyes And a bit different as well I think, there doesn't seem to be any major fantastical element like talkings cars or superheroes or the secret life of toys. Could be interesting

I hadn't really heard anything about this movie until now. It looks cute! There doesn't seem too be much to go on right now, but like you said, it is Pixar, I am sure it is good. I can't wait until more information is released about this!

Wow the trailer certainly doesn't tell all that. Where did you find it? Anyway I can't pass judgment just yet, I would like to see more trailers first.

I first saw the trailer on IMDB. It's just a teaser trailer at the minute, it's projected date of release is some time in the summer so I'd presume, with any upcoming kids films over the next couple of months, official trailers will be attached to them.

OH I saw a little thing for this on Wall-E. It was just the house going up the screen though, I think *Can't remember* so THAT's what it was for~ xD
Looks okay.. I guess =/

It's Pixar. I'll be absolutely surprised if I don't love this film. Of course, I wanted to see WALL-E from the moment in the first teaser where they showed him looking up at the stars. That one shot sold me on wanting to see that film. I had no idea what it was going to be about, but I knew I wanted to see it.
Long ago, I decided that until Pixar disappoints me, I'm going to see the next Pixar movie.

Here, here with that sentiment BRP. I can't wait to see what trials and tribulations Carl and Russell come up against in this film Also as a side I think Pixar are really playing to their strengths with this film as in Toy Story, Monsters Inc and Finding Nemo, with that it's a buddy picture where two guys who aren't what you'd really think could work together, have their destinies entwined.

The first trailer I saw for this movie was a minute or so short and I couldn't really tell what this movie was going to be like. After seeing this trailer I think that it looks very cute. Pixar will no doubt have outdone themselves again. This is one that I will be seeing in theatres for sure.

^ So will I. The animation looks absolutely sublime. The shot where the house initially takes off in the traler looks like it could have been done in real life. I think this is going to be one of my biggest summer movies ;D

I think this is going to be one of my biggest summer movies ;D It already is my #1 must see this summer. Last year's #1 must see was WALL-E. While I can't say that I'm as excited for Up as I was for WALL-E that only means that because WALL-E was different(and had that whole R2-D2 vibe to him), I was super curious to see it. And chances are as Up gets closer, my interest will skyrocket (and it's already quite high).

This looks like it's going to be a really good movie. Pixar hasn't let us down and I really hope they don't start doing it anytime soon.
