Michael Crawford (best known as the one of the best Phantom's on stage in The Phantom Of The Opera) also has an album where he's covered and added his own twist to some Disney covers. Some of the ones he's undertaken are: If I Never Knew You You'll Be In My Heart Baby Mine Reflection I Will Go Sailing No More Personally, I think the album's pretty mixed. I enjoyed some such as If I Never Knew You and I think he definitely did ythem justice but on others, in my opinion, he's added a cheese factor and schmaltz adding an almost karaoke quality to it =/ But that's just my opinion Have you guys heard any of his versions or own the album? If so what dya think? ;D

No, but I would LOVE to have that album! Combining 2 of the things I'm interested in, it's great! L.G.

I confess I might be biased because I love him as a singer and I love this album. I own it to. Michael has a very haunting but sweet vocal in his performance. And there's another bias, I love the songs he chose since some are considered favorites anyway. But I thought Baby of Mine was his best. And I really enjoy his Lion King medley too. Very unique sense. But I think Elton John would approve. He's amazingly talented and gifted. His interpretaions arn't top notch like his portrayal of Phantom, but it's emotionally responsive as far as I'm concerned. I give it an 8/10.

I think for me to judge it more fairly I'd probably have to listen to the album in its entirity as I only listened to the excerpts on iTunes and then youtubed the previous songs I mentioned in my last posts. I have to say his If I Never Knew You does touch me... There's an extra added poignancy in comparison to the Jon Secada/Shanice version

I've heard a lot of his songs for this album. Still would love to have it! Adore his rendition of "Can You Feel The Love Tonight?"
