If the first impression is bad, people can't be disappointed anymore, that's basically what I'm thinking (Must have scored big points in the "integrate yourself" thingy, huh? xx"). Plus, I was kind of lacking competition. I didn't even know these people expect for Laruen80 and she hasn't been around for a while. Of course it is quite an honor of some part, but it was technically no surprise if one takes a look at the circumstances. (Lol, no I'm not vain... not at all... *gigglesnort*)
In a different forum I've been the titleholder of "funniest member" for about 4 years. Ask me how that's possible, because I have NO IDEA! I'm a biting bi... not-so-nice person over there. But people obviously like sarcasmn there, and poof... what do I know, it's their choice, not mine xD
Just because people believe me to be something, doesn't necessarily mean it's true.

About best newbie: first thing, congrats. second thing, I think why you deserved it the most wasn't because of a lack of what the other members have done, but it is what you have done. No, the first impression wasn't the best, but because of you this board is alive again. You helped bring back discussions and in a way, members.
Do you think China would have won the war in Mulan if the Great Stone Dragon was the one to go to help Mulan?

What it, what if...
Mushu isn't exactly the best guardian from his qualities and yet it would have been a definite no. It's a domino effect in first place, since the Great Stone dragon should have brought her home. Mushu actually only followed her to protect her on the spontaneous reflection that he couldn't go (straight) back to the Ancestors' temple.
So basically Mulan wouldn't even have reached the camp, or her cover would have been blown because she couldn't think of a male name, etc. etc...

By now I didn't have my hair dyed once and I don't plan on doing it in future.
But I see it as a possiblity once the first grey hairs show up, which is still quite a while to go *g*
