IMDB hasn't listed a plot as yet but the second Camp Rock film has been announced. Camp Rock 2My guess is that they'll show what happens after they all go home from camp, Mitchie may do some kind of duet with Shane that gets to the top of the charts. Of course this is just my guess.

i like the first one but i think the director should make a new storyline about camp rock 2 so that there will be something different. They should show it next year so that they will have new ideas on what to put on the movie

I honestly don't see a storyline for a sequel to this film. I don't believe it needs one. The first film was even just so-so in my opinion. Better than HSM, but still not the most appealing film.

sigh. I guess I'm not surprised but still. . .I wish companies weren't run to make money. What happened to the real Disney? The one that made real quality products? The biggest problem with this is that they really have no where to go with the film. They barely found some place to go with the HSM films.

As much as I loved the High School Musical trilogy, I have to agree. The last two films should not have been made, although the last one was awesome. It goes back to Walt's idea that, "You can't top pigs with pigs." The problem is that Disney is creatively dead right now. They need someone that can be almost as creative as Walt was. Until then, we will probably have cheap films with poor plots and lots of series and trilogies.
That being said, though, I feel that if they start the idea as a series and have the entire storyline somewhat written before work begins on the first film, then that's acceptable. What is unacceptable is to see how lucrative a film becomes and deciding at the last minute to make it a series. Then it doesn't fit very well.

The last real Disney film to me, is Mulan. =[
Disney hasn't made a real groundbreaking film in years, unless you count the pixar films, which are all great to me. I don't know, I'd rather see the original creativity, and the original animation of a good disney film. We need a nice, new groundbreaking film.

Wow, haven't posted on these boards in quite awhile. =]
But, I didn't like the first. It was, in my opinion, a sad terrible attempt to make another High school Musical. HSM was better, again in my opinion(excluding the second, that was... ew.)

Overall, I didn't particularly like Camp Rock. I feel exactly the same way as D*znyKid. It was another lame attempt to make another musical in HSM footsteps (and it just couldn't measure up). Don't get me wrong, I like the J.B. but they need some serious acting lessons (Kevin anyways).
