I've not actually seen it yet but I've seen a lot of previews.
I'm not sure if it'll be better than the original Zack and Cody series, I won't make a proper judgement until I've seen it.

I have only seen two episodes so far but I am not sure I think any higher or lower of it than the regular show. There really insn't a difference except they are on a boat and have made new friends.

I haven't heard of this till now...Why are they on a boat? Because the writers thought why not... Because Disney wants to try and rake more money in off them... Oh and I've only seen a little bit of the show. I already hate it. -_- I've seen better spin offs.

I haven't heard of this till now...Why are they on a boat? They're on a boat as they have enrolled on a semester-at-sea program. As I've not yet seen the series I don't know whether they're working on board the ship or otherwise. At the moment it seems like Disney are just trying to make money off of old ideas rather than come up with new ones.

Granted yes overall you are correct. The money is the channel's motivation these days. However in their defense I have seen many other cruddy shows that should be taken off the air. (Anybody ever seen MTV programing? The reason they're doing a spin-off is because many of the actors (including Ashley Tisdale) are moving away from the Company. They think "The Suite Life" Has run it's course, but still has some flair. And some actors are not ready to leave the studio yet. (Brenda Song has been with them since she was twelve and is still ultra dedicated)
As for my opinion: I'm mixed. Yes it is very similar to the shinanigans the twins pulled in Boston, but this time around they have even less supervision (despite what people say) and the stakes become higher in the relationship. The only thing I wish would change is London being apart of this show. Sorry London fans. But she gets under my skin with her spoiled rotten life style and her snarky comments. She needs a huge reality slap! While I think Brenda is a sweet girl, London's antics should disappear. She still hasn't deserved anything. Okay I'm done ranting.
For the most part I like it. It's not television at it's best. But it doesn't try to be. I'll tune in when I can.

I haven't seen this yet, so it should be interesting. The new girl looks interesting. L.G.

I can name many Disney shows that are worse pieces of crap than The Suite Life, but I can also see why many of the actors are becoming bored with the show. The only growth ever shown on the show is the boys graduating to High school although their personalities haven't changed a bit, and you would think they would become a little better with girls in High School. But no, its always pretty much the same concept. So I guess On Deck is a mercy spin-off because the show was in danger and needed saving, but it's still not that great.

I've only seen like, an episode, but so far, it's basically the same as the Suite Life.....only on a boat I don't really see why Disney bothered. Why couldn't they just have ended the series and, I don't know, come up with a new show. *shrug* (Though I did enjoy it when it first aired), I never liked the original show, mainly because there were waaay too many re-runs of the same episode and it got old. Just cause something was funny the first time doesn't make it funny the 50th time. Also, I never really liked the twins. I always found the part of the episodes with Maddie and London to be more entertaining (even though London bothers me sometimes) so I really don't think this is a show I'll watch unless I'm completely bored out of my mind and nothing else is on.

My last two Friday evenings have been extremely busy. Last week it was a pizza party at church, and premiere weekend we were moving. Plus, I would have probably watched the presidential debate that night anyway. So, I have yet to watch a single episode. I want to see it. Perhaps tonight.

The show was cute at first, but now...idk. You're right, it's just Disney trying to make some more money... I must say that I'd prefer The Suite Life over Hannah Montana ANY day of the week. So yeah, whatever...I can't complain too much.

I get that the not all of the actors in the original show agreed to come back but they were the characters that would have been understandably replaced with other characters in the hotel. They still have Mosby, London, Zach, Cody, Carrey, and Arwin (kinda). They already had some one replacing Maddie and Estaban hasn't really been seen on the show in a while. It just seems sillier and cheesier to me to move the show onto a boat. They can't have run out of ideas for episodes in a hotel, could they? Its really not the end of the world if Zach and Cody make a new friend at school in Boston, like Bailey either. I guess I still don't see the point.

I think Silver hit the nail on the head. It really isn't the greatest, but when you look at some of the other garbage on The Disney Channel today, it's pretty good. I enjoyed the one episode I saw. I think it's because I really relate to Cody. I mean, I'm not THAT much of a geek, but at the same time, I always tried to do my best, and wasn't all that hip when I was his age.
