Ari- I wouldn't dare to pick just one. I'll give you my top five list that has no order in particular.
1. It's a Wonderful Life
2. How the Grinch Stole Christmas (2000)
3. A Christmas Carol (1984)
4. Home Alone 2: Lost in New York
5. Mickey's Once Upon a Christmas

Compared to the animated version, do you think the live action How the Grinch Stole Christmas stuck to the original story line well?

If you could order a remake of any movie, which one would it be?

Ari- I think the last half is just as Dr.Seuss intended. But for the opening and throughout the course of the story we need to have a more identifiable Grinch the audience can sympathize with. And the town of Whoville needed to be fleshed out. Now I see it as why he was so aggressive towards the holiday season. Even if he plays it off in his typical Jim Carrey comedic delivery. He puts in enough heartbreak and he**bent revenge it perfectly reasonable as to why he wants to drown out the incessant noise on the days that lead up to his memory of childhood misery. I'd be cold to.
Jupiter- The Secret of NIMH. I think they should have stayed more loyal to the material from the novel. The film had a great beginning and middle. I didn't mind the changes then as I felt the essence from the book still surrounding it. Towards the climax I think it fell apart. I'm not sure even the director Don Bluth knew what he meant to achieve but it was all over the place. As such the conclusion is not rewarding. If anything I just feel bitter.

Did you have a good Christmas?

Ari- I did. Thank you for asking. I was burned out from working a full shift on the day of Christmas Eve. But right after we had our family gathering. One family brought over two rambunctious toddlers. We all had to take turns in keeping them entertained. When mine came along i had to summon my inner human strength. I'm not a child person to be honest. So I had to dig deep. Not to pat my self on the back but I pulled off one heck of a performance. The kids had no idea I would have rather been napping. Once that family left as to settle the kids in for bed. The party was much more laid back. We swapped ideas around for nonsense games. But by 10:00 I was utterly exhausted.
Woke past 11 am he next day. My mom wasn't feeling too well either. So present opening was post poned for a few hours. It was a small gift collection this year. I'm still happy none the less. My parents got me some new gym clothes, bathroom necessities and candy. My older brother gave me a movie gift card (vowed to save it for the important films) while my younger brother gave me a Panera Bread gift card. My best friend gave me a Target gift card.
My loved ones enjoyed the gifts I gave them to. The rest of the day my parents and I was spent cleaning up and watching whatever holiday themed movies were on. My brother braved the crowd to go see the film Unbroken at the theatre. Now as much as I wanted to see Into the Woods, I knew it would be chaos. I'll probably go some time this week. Overall, a pleasant day.

Ari- I do. I have a gym membership. The treadmill is my forte. If that is unavailable. I will head over to the elliptical. I have my old fashion CD player with me and then I just get wrapped up in whatever music I choose while I run for a half an hour. Take a 5-10 minute break. Then head back on for another half an hour.

Jealous of your dedication! After the New Year, it's back to the diet and exercise!
Any tips for someone getting in to the diet/exercise thing?

Ari- The best advice I could give right off the bat is start slow with exercise and don't quit any junk food cold turkey.
I would recommend to anybody who wishes to start off the new year by being healthier is ask the following questions. What fruits or vegetables do I enjoy? Then what type of exercise regimen would I be able to enjoy? Whether it be a sport, equipment to use at a gym, yoga ect?
Then gradually incorporate it into your life. And don't beat yourself up mentally for having a cheat day. Whether it be accidental or intensional.
Oh and don't look to celebrities as a reference model to being healthy. These people spend millions of dollars on trainers, personal chefs, and stylists to seem practically perfect. When they're not being air-brushed that is.

Ari- Your welcome. No I've stopped with New Year Resolutions as a teen. I find going with the flow is more my speed. I found I beat myself up mentally when I do and then don't resolve it later. If I am more inclined not to narrow my options and let it play out. It will happen without it laying on my conscience whether I will fail completing a task.
