Alexis- Actually, my classes don't start until next week. But I'm very enthusiastic about all of them. They were always my favorites in High School. How are your classes so far?

sorry I went to dinner.. but I am back now.
My classes are going well. Because we only have 2 months, they are going to be very intense and constantly on the go, but on the up side I really like both of the subjects and the teachers.
Hey Shenzi, how are you?

Sorry for my slight absense. I had to pick up dinner for my family.
Shenzi- I'm majoring in general studies for English as of right now. Later down the road I'll decide what specific career I want.
Alexis- I'm glad to hear you're enjoying your education and the process.

Alexis- Not an essay, but I do enjoy writing stories, journal entries, and an analysis for certain topics. (Hence to the psychology & sociology) I'm no professional by any means. (All you have to do is read my posts to see that) But I have improved immemsley, and I'm continuing to stretch my creative outlet.

I need to get my classes more straight soon.

Shenzi- That's great. And I understand what you mean by fullfilling requirements first. I'm in the same boat.Do have any idea what career you want in the English field?
Alexis- Thank you for the complement, but I was refering to my grammer and editing. I have definetley improved though on elaborating my ideas, so that I'm proud of.

man, I have always not liked editting.. everyone elses stuff sounds so much better then mine and I can never get mine right. I definitely don't have a career in English

Alexis- Don't be so hard on yourself. You make wonderful & thought provoking posts that are clear and direct. And if it's any consolation, you're a much better editor then I am. (I'm still working on that little flaw, hehe)

aw, thank you. yeah.. I have never been good at long drawn out writing.. I like getting to the point and hence writing less.
maybe we are talking about 2 different things.. what do you mean by editing?

Alexis- Editing is a couple of things in writing. It's finding the proper formation in grammer and building a thorough sentence. It's also finding a balance between having your topic have a clear point but going into detail on your thoughts.

And as you also pointed out it makes me jealous too. A lot of people are so much more skilled than I.
