Yeah, I had one fish named Dory. I think it was the last one I've had.

You'll have to clean it a lot; goldfish are messy. A tank with a filter would be better. Silver, I'm sorry to hear that. I know how hard it is to lose a pet. Yeah my fish are bettas. My grandparents got me my first two for christmas a couple years ago, and my dad said that they almost got me a goldfish but the person at the store recommended against it because they get messy super fast.

Betas are nice; they can live in small bowls, unlike most fish. You keep two, Shenzi? Judging by the names, they must be female. Male betas are prettier, but you can't keep two together.

Yeah, it's much more difficult then I ever expected. But all you can truly do is remember the wonderful memories. And when enough time passes I'm sure I'll get another one: but even so each induvidual is not replaceable.

yeah goldfish are messy, i used to have a couple in a little mermaid tank. It had Ariel on the rock in the "Under the Sea" song instead of a pirate ship or castle like some tanks do.

Yes they are both females, the guy at the store told me that females can be together but right the males cannot and niether can a male and a female because if they can pick on each other of one is not ready to breed.

But a new pet can help fill the empty place in your heart.

That's very true. Betas are sometimes called Siamese Fighting Fish for that reason. I used to have a male Beta named Gomez.
