I have put off my homework this weekend and now I am catching up  haha. but I have been doing well. I am trying to find the best, cheapest way to get home on Wednsday or thursday for Fall Break Edit: Why was your day not so good Silver? |

Alexis- My family is having a few problems of their own. My last few days at class and work have overwhelmed me. And I'm dealing with that time of the month a female has swings in her mood and such. But hopefully will go by fast then I can take a break. Anyway, enough with my ranting.  How have you been? |

ouch, that is a lot to deal with at one time. I totally understand the bad day.  I hope everything gets better and slows down soon. I have been swamped with work.. I have put it off too much and now it biting me in the butt. but it will be ok.. it is a short week because our fall break starts thursday *dances in chair* |

Alexis- Well I'm glad your break will give you time to sort out any miscaps. (hehe) I think we all have a time where everything seems to bundle up. But I'm actually happier it happened this week as opposed to next week. I get some time off. I'll be recieving a facial. And two CD's I've been waiting for will finally available. (Yay) And there I go with the ranting again.

Alexis- A facial sounds heavenly already. I'll be buying Emmy Rossum's debut CD "Inside Out" and Carrie Underwoods's sophmore CD "Carnival Ride". |

I just saw an internet ad for Emmy Rossum.. I am not knowingly familar with her work.. what has she done, what type of music is she?

Alexis- I'm a real big fan of both artists. I have to say I'm very exicited to hear Carrie's work because not only does her new single sound promising for deeper music (It's called "So Small") she's been much more involved in the creative process. And the girl knows how to sing! Emmy single now is called "Slow Me Down". She's mostly known as an actress though. Her mainstream performances include Posiedon, The Day After Tomorrow, and The Phantom of the Opera. But on this Cd it has a pop sound similar to that of Sara McLaclin or Jewel. It's not bubblegum in any way, shape or form. It's much more adult contemporary ballad style. If you want to hear a preview of their music sound, go to Youtube and type in their singles and you can watch their music videos. Sorry, I can't give links right now.  |

oh no wonder her name sounded familar! I didn't know she sang... but I haven't seen Phantom of the Opera.. but if she sang in that, I am guessing she's good. And I ususally like that style of music. But on the whole I don't like when actresses become singers.. it is ok the other way because singers are used to proforming, but just because you can act doesn't mean you can sing

Alexis- Believe me, she isn't at all like Lindsay Lohan or what not. She has a beautiful voice. I actually look up to her as a vocalist myself. And I look up to Carrie too. She may have started off in the Idol ring. But sh'e making an effort to break out of that mold. And so she seems very humble about it.
