She's a very nice lady... and I kinda like her now but it's hard I guess. I know that my Grandpa will never love her the way that he loved my grandma for 53 years of his life... but it hurts to see them together.

That's what we're all saying. We're Catholic and my Grandpa doesnt like the idea of living with someone without being married so I think it's just out of convienience.

I think she's more happy than he is... I still dont understand it myself but he's 73 and can make his own decisions. I would hate to lose my grandpa over something like this.

I still have to play nice so as not to hurt my Grandpa's feelings no matter how I feel.

Well it really isn't that hard to understand. I mean he was married for 53 years. Thats 53 in a relationship. Such an abrupt change in lifestyle can be very hard for people. I don't think that he is in any way trying to replace your grandmother, hes just very alone and sad and needs another woman to help him feel better, at least that what he thinks he needs. Don't hold a grudge aganist him or anything Nesbit, you can't understand what hes going though. We've all been hurt by the loss and trust me, hes not trying to replace your wonderful grandma. He just needs company, the best thing you can do is support him and hope that he realizes that the best way for him to cope is to deal with his emotions directly.

If you two go into hiding together, does that mean I'm charge?

If you two go into hiding together, does that mean I'm charge? Sure why not I mean what's the worst you could possibly do?
