"Moana is a CG animated mythic adventure comedy set to hit theatres on November 16th 2016. This will be Disney's 56th full length animated feature film.
The synopsis is as follows 'In the ancient south pacific world of oceania, a teenage girl and born navigator sets sail in search of a fabled island. On her journey she teams up with the legandary demi-god Maui to traverse the open ocean on an action packed voyage. Encountering enormous sea creatures, breath-taking underworlds and ancient folklore."
This film will be written and directed by John Musker and Ron Clements. The same two men who helmed The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, Hercules, Treasure Planet and The Princes and the Frog. No casting announcements or further creative team members have been revealed.
John Musker who was at a press release recently describes the leading lady as " An indominatable, passionate dreamer with a connection to the ocean itself."
I'm on full alert for any new information that comes along. This sounds utterly fascianting.
