Well, to be fair, Frozen is a very, VERY loose adaptation of The Snow Queen. But from skimming, the article, I don't really see anything that screams plagiarism. It seems like there might be some coincidences, but without knowing more about her story, I have to be skeptical about her claims.

I read this article last night. I think it's just a little ridiculous. Another prime example of what people will do for money. She probably thinks very highly of herself because Disney made a story about her life... *eye roll*

I've seen this flying around for the last few hours. I'd really like to know what part of her life she thinks Frozen is responsible for copying. Because how many millions of people out there haven't had a relationship that ended badly? Unless by some coincidence one of her boyfriends was only dating her because he wanted to steal everything she owned right out from under her and murder her sister in the process. And speaking of her sister, how many millions of people out there have lost a sibling that they cared about?
Can you say "frivolous lawsuit?" Because I really hope the judge in her case just throws this out.

I know, right? I mean, what happened in the movie in different parts has happened to many other people in the world. Coincidence. Not plagiarism.

Every time somebody comes up with a wildly popular story, it's inevitable that someone else will come out of the woodwork and claim that the person who became wealthy off said story stole it from them. This one is no different. Stories of the bond between sisters being frayed before becoming strong once again happen all over the world in real life every single day. I suspect that's part of why Frozen became such a massive hit.
Pixar has talked openly about how real life examples of women and their mothers inspired Brave. Who's going to sue them next?
I would love to hear how this plaintiff spent her life with a talking snowman and lived in an eternal winter especially since she claims that Disney stole the story from her autobiography.

Ari- I half joke with my best friend a certain movie by Dreamworks animation shares many resemblances to my life. Some of the sequences are almost uncanny it startles me. Yet I have refrained from developing a lawsuit. It could be that a rational person recognizes that the film creators know how to invoke universal themes in their emotional content. Apparently this woman has not heard of this story structure. How sad.
