Walt Disney Studios announced that they are doing a Frozen short which is due to come out in Spring 2015. All original actors will reprise the voice of their characters. Robert and Kristen Lopez - the couple behind "Do You Want to Build A Snowman" and "Let It Go" - will also be writing an original song for the short. The plot will be about how Elsa and Kristoff will be planning a surprise birthday party for Anna! *unleashes Kristanna fangirl* I want Kristoff proposing to Anna! *reins in Kristanna fangirl*
Anyway, I think it'll likely be something light-hearted and crazy, a la Tangled Ever After. It would have to be to keep something like a surprise party under wraps from Anna.

I don't know if they've announced that yet. I would have guessed at Big Hero 6, but I think that's being released sooner than that.

They've said next spring. A random guess would be attaching it to Cinderella coming in March. The fit is there and it's a way to generate additional business for that film.

Didn't they release Tangled Ever After when they re-released Cinderella (the animated version) into theaters? Or was that the re-release of Beauty and the Beast that I'm thinking of? Because I know Tangled Ever After is on my DVD copy of Cinderella. Because if they put Frozen Fever on before the live action Cinderella, I'm going to start questioning Cinderella's powers.

Tangled Ever After was with the rerelease of BatB.
But are we talking about the live-action Cinderella or a rerelease of the original?

I am going to assume that it will be attached to the live action feature film of Cinderella. As I can not find any sources that say the animated version of Cinderella will be re-released in the Cinema for this year or the next.

Tangled Ever After was released theatrically with the 3-D release of Beauty and the Beast. It was included as a bonus feature on the Cinderella blu-ray release in 2012.
Since Disney very rarely re-releases animated classics in theaters, all guesses for Cinderella point to the live action version. But if Disney is defining spring as May, then all bets are off unless they fool us all and stick in front of Avengers: Age of Ultron. Now, that would be funny.

That now makes me wonder how long it will be before it's available for download, just in case I don't make it to a theater. Or in case I don't really want to see the movie it's attached to.
