I can understand to an extent why people won't watch long movies at the Cinema. I can't sit through three hour films. (I could do Titanic in 3-D because I knew which scenes I wanted to leave during so I could use the restroom) And then I hate to miss something important.
I did watch The Hobbit On Demand recently. I thought was really good. I'll be checking out the sequel on rental for sure.
The Purge was a small budget movie right? But if it doubled the amount at the box office then it makes sense the film-makers could do a sequel the followiing year.
I saw the teaser trailer to Planet of the Apes (Sequel to 2011's Rise of Planet of the Apes) It has my attention but I want to know more about the plot.

I do believe it was a small budget film. But it did turn out to be pretty good and I am hoping that the sequel doesn't let me down!!! ^^
I was never a big fan of the Planet of the Apes films. >.>

More then fair. ^^ The re-make (in 2011) was anthing but the feel good film of the year. I did not expect to feel so depessed after leaving the theatre. The Hunger Games left me feeling more hopeful.
I'm sure The Purge 2 will keep fans happy with tons of bloody deaths. Not my chocie of film but to each to their own.

The Hunger Games has yet to disappoint me. I am quite saddened that they are splitting part 3 into 2 parts. I know it is about the money signs... but golly, that means I have two years left of anticipation!!! Yes... I know what is going to happen. But I'm still so excited to see how it happens over the big screen! ^^

I also loved the adapatations of The Hunger Games series. I love each cast member!
There could be a silver ining in splitting up the last book.
The first two had to cut out several scenes from the books to keep it from hiting the three hour mark.
This way they can include a lot more details.

I know!!!! And I should be thankful for all the extra attention to details I will be receiving with them splitting up the movies. But I'm so anxious. Like a small child at Christmas. I just want to see them both.

I understand. This and How to Train Your Dragon 2 have me going crazy! My patients is running very thin.
What's incredible is that even though we've read the books. Watching it on flim doesn't make it any less compelling.
I'm behaving like a child again. This unbelievable amount of anticipation. The truth is. Even if nobody will go with me. I'll happily go by myself. I don't need another person with me to see a movie. It does make it more fun to talk about afterwords though.

I think that is the only thing holding me back from going to a movie by myself: I really like having that person to discuss everything I liked/disliked about the film right after the last of the credits roll across the screen. I am a major chatter box... and I usually go to the night showings. All my friends are old and are in bed usually by the time I leave (lol), and then they won't even know what I'm talking about. I need that person. I really need a personal movie sidekick.

That's why I'm grateful for the internet. I'm on Youtube as well as this Board. If I can't speak to someone verbally. I chat with my buddies online.
More often then not my friends and I can't get together for movies like we used to. So I've grown accustomed to going by myself.
It is still have to have a girl's day out with a movie and lunch. Then chat about the film and everything else.
It's too bad we don't live near one another. We could talk about The Hunger Games and HTTYD for hours!

Double post time.
Just watched the official trailer for Interstellar. Forget the fact that it will probably have striking visuals. Let's focus on the heartfelt family storyline. I greatly look foreward to weeping at this in November.

I saw the latest trailer for Interstellar before Godzilla. While l plan on seeing many more movies this year, if I had to choose one, it would be Interstellar. And in IMAX to boot.
