I really loved the trolls! They were so cute! And Sven and Olaf were great comic relief!
This movie was really beautiful throughout! And I loved how it finally addressed the whole love at first sight thing is crazy! About time, Disney! Lol!

Arielle- Santino must have been inspired by the charatcer of Gaston when picking this as his audition song. It worked wonders in winning over the creative team. I do know he made an impression on Disney executives after he auditioned for Flynn Rider in Tangled. May not have recieved the role but they asked him to come back and audition for both Kristoff and Hans. You hear so much about women having a childhood dream to play a Disny princess in the future. How refreshing that a man thought it would be awsome to fullfill his dream of becoming apart of the Disney legacy. Only he has the best of both words. A prince and villain in one character.

Just found this on Yahoo news believe it or not. A youtuber tweaked the Frozen trailer to come off as a horror film with Elsa as a Charlie McGee, Firestarter type of character. Firestarter an old Stephen King film, a lot of you here may be too young for it as am I but happened to have seen it and love it. This was very well done. www.youtube.com/watch?v=9eD2UpdhbwA#t=43

I'm watching Meet the Robinsons now and had an interesting thought about Frozen. Let It Go was originally written as Elsa's villain song, but because of the song, Elsa was rewritten as a sympathetic character. In MtR, Bowler Hat Guy meets his past self and urges him not to let go, ultimately leading Goob down his path to villany. And when Bowler Hat Guy is finally able to let go of the past, he redeems himself. I thought the parallels between the two were kind on interesting

Let it Go isn't about letting go of the past, it's Elsa finally feeling free to be herself and let her powers loose after a lifetime of isolation.
Interestingly however your post reminded me of the first line of the ending song in the MTR film, Little Wonders. "Let it go, let it roll right off your shoulder..." As I heard it this line wasn't intentionally written to be so appropriate to Louis being able to accept his birth mother giving him up but that was the idea and now I'm seeing the relation to Goob/Bowler hat guy as well.

Elsa was in a prison of her own mind. Psychologically tormented for years that if her powers were not controlled (coded as hidden) she would hurt someone. Presumably her family. She racked her brain for years on how to be distant and elegant when her time would come to be queen. After the accidental outburst towards Anna. The gig was up. She knew she could not stay in the kingdom. Her powers never left and never would. Her intension was pure. Truly distance herself from people . Let Anna rule the kingdom and she can marry. She doesn't have to be secluded like she is. Her solo is all about releasing inhibitions. No need to bottle up her powers or emotions anymore.
It's been noted that some believe she wasn't willing to accept resposability. I disagree. After Anna finds her and warns her of the blizard aftermath. Elsa's shame comes crashing down on her. She forces them to leave out of safety. All the while she remains a hermit as point to attempt to stop her powers from occuring and thawing the ice. Misinterpreting what the leader of the trolls said. She beleived all her life that "controling" her powers meant being robotic. But fear is natural and can not just vanish. She wanted nothing more then to stop it and bring Arendelle back to it''s former glory. If she was not willing to take responsability. That scene of her repeating "Conceal don't feel it" would not have been shown.

Agreed Silver that Elsa wasn't intending to be irresponsible but in a way she was. Her fleeing Arendelle was what she was raised to believe was the responsible choice for the safety of her subjects, primarily Anna. Conceal don't feel. She wanted to protect them.
The accusations of her irresponsibility are simply being misplaced on the action itself when it's the aftermath which was. She didn't consider the consequences of the fact that she was protecting them from herself. The kingdom was not only buried in a blizzard which she didn't even realize she'd done until she was knocked out and brought back, but her abandoned throne was filled by someone whom the sisters knew nothing about and ended up having a personal agenda. Which was actually Anna's doing not Elsa's.
Ultimately the parents are the blame for directly disobeying Grandpobbie. He'd said "Your power, there is beauty in it but also great danger. You must learn to control it." (Hopefully I'm close, I'm about to turn in for bed or I'd Google to make sure I quoted properly). Instead what did the King and Queen do? They tried to teach her to restrain her powers and in turn to be afraid and ashamed of them. It's no wonder it took her that long to learn the love thaws reversal key.
It actually has gone through my mind that considering no one seemed to protest Elsa leaving due to fear of her "Sorcery" it's strange it wasn't suggested that Anna be coronated in. What we had here was something similar to a The King's Speech situation. If you haven't seen that Oscar winning film, King George VI was not the heir to his throne but his older brother David who'd been crowned had stepped down and he was next in line. Now HE (David) was irresponsible though he was sensible enough to admit it.
So in light of what happened with Elsa the people of Arendelle should have taken this into consideration.

I wouldn't say it was that they were disobeying Pabbie more than they had misinterpreted what he said. Which seems to be something else everyone does in this movie. No one really gives a lot of thought to what he's trying to tell them. He tells Elsa that she has to learn to control her powers, and that fear will be her enemy. Her parents misinterpret this to mean that she needs to control her emotions and stay away from people in the meantime, which only serves to let the fear in. They don't try to teach her to not be scared of herself, which is what turned out to be one of the keys to controlling her powers.

Let it Go isn't about letting go of the past, it's Elsa finally feeling free to be herself and let her powers loose after a lifetime of isolation. I think the song is actually about both. Letting go of the pain of the past is what allowed Elsa to move on and find healing. I know people for whom Elsa is their favorite character precisely because that song is an anthem about moving on from grievous wounds in the past and finding healing and strength in no longer dwelling in that pain and isolation. I don't know if there is anyone who doesn't have some pain in their past, be it large or small. Letting go of that pain can help us to find healing from those wounds whatever they may be.
