Guardians of the Galaxy is an upcoming science fiction superhero film based on the Marvel comic's superhero team of the same name.
It is the story of " An unlikely cast of characters including an American pilot and a group of futuristic ex-cons wgo go on the run with a highly coveted object. They must join forces to defeat a cosmic force of epic proportions." The story takes place in teh far reaches of space.
It is directed co-written by James Gunn.
The cast includes

Lee Pace
Michael Rooker
Karen Gillan
Djimon Hounsou
Benico del Toro
John C. Reilly
Glenn Close
Bradley Cooper
Vin Disel
This film will be released on ugust 1st 2014.
I'll wait to see the trialer on this as the description that was given reminds me a great deal of The Avengers.
So what everybody else think of this?

This will be a very interesting project. From what very little I know, the Guardians feature among their ranks a talking raccoon and a talking tree. By no means does this mean the movie will be awful since we already know that the general public loves a 900 year old, backwards talking muppet named Yoda.
I'll be interested in seeing how the public reacts to this film. I will likely see it eventually, but whether I see it in theaters depends on how the movies grabs my attention in previews.

I don't know if anyone saw the end credits scene in Thor 2? That was actually our first taste of Guardians of the Galaxy. I won't spoil what happens in the scene since Thor 2 is still fairly new, but I was wondering if this changed anyones opinion of Guardians of the Galaxy?

I haven't seen Thor 2.  But this sounds kinda "Watchmen"ish. But it kind of intrigues me. Like Silver, I would like to see a trailer first before I decided whether or not it is worth theatre time or couch time.  |

Haha, it's true! You never leave a Marvel movie before the credits are complete  The best I could find on youtube is HORRIBLE quality and almost not worth watching xD If you type in after credits scene Thor 2 is does come up though |

I am looking forward to GOTG as I usually love the Marvel Cinematic Universe. I cant wait to see Rocket Raccoon in action. I'm hoping to see Thanos in it or another quick glimpse of him as hes a major part of Marvel Cinematic Universe story now. Though I feel he wont be a main Villain just yet..
