Thank you Arielle, I've responded appropriately in that thread as not to steer us off topic here.

I have my fingers crossed this will be a successful film. Not just for the studio's sake. Just the same when The Phantom of the Opera and Les Miserables were adapted for a film production. It re-created a buzz surrounding the revival of the stage show. POTO now has it's annual National Tours running and Les Mis is currently under way of setting up for their tour. So thanks to the the attention the films garnered. The stage production enthusiasim was revived.
I have never seen Into the Woods live. I saw the pro-shot film on stage in my high school choir class. That's what sparked my interest in the first place. So off kilter in comparison to the majority of fantasy musicals I saw growing up. I love the fact that Stephen Sondiem marches to the beat of his own drummer.

I think Disney's love action films have been quite good lately. So here's hoping.

That is awesome. Meryl Streep looks positively wicked. This poster alone has me rather excited! <3 I do wish they had more characters on it... So I can see what they've done with everyone.

Agreed I'm interested in seeing more of the character designs myself.

For those who are familar with the story. You will find a particular respect for the costume designers, hair stylists and make-up artists. For those who have not. You are in for a real treat.

I'm not familiar, I had no idea this was an existing production but am looking quite forward to it nonetheless. I am anxious to see more trailers.

Damn you beat me. I had just come to post that very image, though directly. I hadn't known before what character he was playing, interesting interpretation of the big Bad Wolf. Apparently it's more of a persona here that literal.

I found the photos too! Thanks Broadway World fo keeping tabs on this. Stephen Sondiem seems very pleased with the visual aspect. I agree that this is a wonderful Cinematic interpretation of the stage production. I just hope the actors live upto his word. Some musical films hit it right on the mark! Others not so much despite the composeres praises. I really hope I see eye to eye with him as I know this musical is his pride and joy.

Hey! I just found this amazing featurette! In it many of the actors talk about the film AND we finally hear some of the musical performances (mostly snippets though, but it's something!) www.youtube.com/watch?v=EFRm_rZIEXc
