So I got an email this morning from the Disney Store telling me about the Disney Animators Collection dolls. These dolls imagine the princesses as little girls, but the Animators Collection stands out because the dolls were designed by Disney animators Mark Henn and Glen Keane. Each doll stands 16 inches tall. The collection was first launched in 2011 and won some awards. The first set featured each princess with one of her friends from the movie as a stuffed animal. Additionally, the princesses were often depicted in their non-formal attire. In other words, Aurora was in her Briar Rose dress, Belle in her blue dress, and so forth. The collection has been relaunched this year as the Fairytale collection, this time featuring the princesses in their iconic gowns. Each box is filled with sketches from the animators of the princesses as little girls. I believe these dolls are exclusive to the Disney Store and Disney theme parks. Disney Animators Collection

Some of those are really cute! I like Ariel, Jasmine and Rapunzel best. I like Pocahontas too, but she looks so sad

I gave Rapunzel to my niece for her birthday last year. I've seen some of the other toddler dolls sold in retail stores and I felt like they barely resembled who they were supposed to be. But these actually look like the characters they're supposed to be.
I've seen people buy these at Disneyland and throw the boxes away immediately. It almost breaks my heart because the sketches on the boxes are so cool. I'd buy a sketchbook of these in a heartbeat.
