I don't understand this need to make money fast. If Disney took the time to make a wonderful movie that everyone would enjoy they could make the same amount, if not more money for quality work.

If they have to do this one at least finish the series so they dont have to make another one.A move like The Lion King could go on forever and never get boring LOL

I only liked the first one. Very original, great cast, and Bernard was really funny. I didn't like the second one though, because it had most of the elements of most sequels, cheesy, and out for more money. To reference a Space Balls line: "Don't worry, we'll probably meet again in Space Balls II: The Search for More Money". Haha! Nice one Yeah I'm "knocking it before seeing it", but honestly, it really does not interest me at all. Not just because it's a "sequel", it's just that I think I've "grown out" of this sort of movie. I was much younger when the first one came out so I was able to enjoy it more. Same goes with that sequel to The Mask - why after so long?! And without Jim Carrey? The first was fantastic. But I won't be ruining my memory of it with the 2nd one.

I don't know why but the more I think about it I don't wanna see this one. Yeah I think the Son of The Mask was so stupid I torture my brain and the wonderful memeory of The Mask by watching it

i agree with Lilo. i too am knocking it before i am seeing it, cuz i am not planning to see it. it just does not interest me eaither it disgusts me. the second one was pushing it enough even though it was cute enough. i also agree with tink, i never saw Son of the Mask because it looked extremely stupid. i would rather see the extremely stupid PInk Panther remake to be honest. Son of the Mask doesnt even look from the commercials like it really follows the Mask story, and no JIm Carey, thats bad enough in itself, although i don't blame him for not wanting to make this stupid looking sequal. without seeing it i am already giving santa clause 3 two thumbs down.

To me, The Mask sequel was pointless. There was supposedly meant to be one only a short time after the first film, and Jim was going to be in it - but it never happened. Until last year. And he wasn't even in it. But that was probably a good career move, heh! OMG... I wouldn't touch that with a 100 foot pole. You can't beat the Peter Sellers versions - he made that character. I shudder at the thought that a new generation will think Steve Martin is Inspector Clouseau. LOL maybe we need a thread specific to remakes/sequels/prequels?

Even though this does star Tim Allen, that still isn't enough to make me wanna see it

I will probably see this. I'm kinda shocked. Normally, I would be the one refusing to see a film and y'all would be jumping all over me saying that I should give it a chance. But I saw the trailer and it does look good. Martin Short and Tim Allen mean complete chaos.

It's Bizzaro-World Joplin4! I'm not sure if I posted in this thread yet, but I likely won't be seeing this until it airs on cable in about five years after its release. The first movie was cute. I've only seen a few parts of the second...it doesn't interest me much, to be honest.

It looks a lot better than the discription gives it credit for. I think I might see this in theatres if not it's worth a chance renting it when it does come to DVD.
