Indeed one of my sources actually stated and I quote "Dory wouldn't be Dory without Ellen" which is too true. There have only been two instances in my memory where I've actually cracked up hard in the theater and Dory's whale speak in the first film was one of them. The only returning character they thought they may have to re-cast and it may still be under consideration since it's still not listed on IMDB is Nemo due to the young actor's aging.
My family will be seeing this film in the theater for sure as my mother is a huge Dory fan as am I.

Pixar has never been afraid to delay a film if it meant making a better movie. They did it just this year with The Good Dinosaur.
I'm not sure how much stock I put into online rumors about Blackfish impacting this film. Pixar is very secretive and protective about plot points. When I was invited by a Pixar animator to see WALL-E at Pixar back in 2008, they did not allow any photos taken on the 2nd floor which is where currently in production movies are being worked on and had everyone check all electronic devices before the screening. And this was just 10 days before the theatrical release.
Could they have changed the ending? Certainly. But the same article says that much of the storyline for Finding Dory is a mystery. Which makes me wonder why a Pixar employee would risk his or her job and release a major spoiler about a film that is still developing the storyline.

Very thought provoking information Briar which I shall keep in mind for the future but I wouldn't call what was told of the supposedly altered scene a spoiler. The fact that there is a marine park in it doesn't say anything about the plot in fact there is no suggestion of it's connection to the one other revealed element that the film will feature Dory's relatives. The statement "the animals have the option to leave" on it's own makes absolutely no sense.
The general idea that Pixar would reveal changing the ending is I'll admit questionable now that you've got me considering that but I don't think the nature of the scene which was revealed is significant.

Here is a link to the teaser trailer: ellentube.com/videos/0_gly53hio"That's not enough, I need more" - my mother after she watched it via my sharing it on her Facebook timeline. XD I'm in agreement, this wasn't enough to judge. It looked cute though.

The jellyfish poster is certainly the most appealing to the eye.

Just so everyone knows, there was a new trailer released which you can find on Ellen's youtube channel. I had so many feels watching this! My one worry though is how similar many of the beats feel to the original. I trust pixar completely and even when I haven't been a fan of their sequels (like Cars 2) it wasn't because the movie was to similar. So I think they are just using these similar bits to sell the movies in terms of nostalgia.

I am really anxious to see this... I loved Finding Nemo and Dory was always my favorite character.
Unfortunately, The hubby isn't taking me until the weekend of July 9th. So I have to wait. But I can do it...
