Oh okay. Well my judgements are back on the fence, haha. But who knows, maybe it'll be great. I absolutely loved Toy Story 2 and 3, and I had similar concerns about them. Cars 2 was fine too.

One year later, eh? I might be able to handle it.

One thing I want to observe is that in the case of Pixar sequels, the original filmmakers have given their blessing to the sequels if not actually working on them and they're getting theatrical releases instead of direct to video. While I love original Pixar content, I'm excited to see Mike and Sully in their college years.
And besides that I still have hope that we'll get to see The Underminer. Come on Brad Bird, give us The Incredibles 2. Maybe that's why I'm okay with the sequels. If there was one I thought would never get the sequel treatment it was Finding Nemo.

I have to agree ^ I never thought they would do a Finding Nemo II Everything seemed to be all tied up in the end. The only thing that wasn't really tied up in the end was when the Tank Gang were still in their plastic bags at the end of the first film. I thought they might have touched on that a little more. Maybe their great escape to the great unknown.

Exactly. I thought they did it for humor. Or at the very least, have a short on what happened with the tank gang after they got out.

Diane Keaton, Eugene Levy and Ty Burrell have just been announced as joining the cast of Finding Dory!
Diane Keaton will voice Jenny, Dory's mom, and Eugene Levy will voice Charlie, Dory's dad.
I'm excited about all 3 of these, particularly Diane Keaton, an unexpected announcement!
It's all been confirmed that Finding Dory will take place 1 year after Finding Nemo meaning it looks like we'll be seeing a new voice for Nemo himself soon enough!

I'm quite sad that we still haven't even seen an official teaser trailer for this yet. Anyone heard any interesting news on this upcoming film lately?

Very strange but there isn't anything in my findings on this film from this year which leaves me wondering if this project is still in the works. All that's been released of the plot is that it is set about a year after the first film and at least a portion at the California coast line. This film's title seemingly uses a more figurative, soul searching angle of the word 'Finding' as Dory will be reunited with relatives and learn some lessons about family. The only other thing that is known is that there was a scene featuring a marine park which was re-written after a documentary called 'Blackfish' was released depicting the story of a trainer at Seaworld (and apparently not the first) being killed by one of the park's Killer Whales. Apparently there is a scene showing the capture of their Killer Whales while in infancy from the wild which brought the park negative publicity and they argued that the documentary is "inaccurate and misleading", an exploitation of the trainer's death. In response to this controversy the scene in the Finding Dory film was altered so that the animals shown in the marine park "Have the option to leave". While I'm not understanding what this means it sounds kind of stupid to be honest. Disney and Pixar may be family friendly production companies but there have been plenty of dark themes in their films and while the truth may be upsetting it shouldn't be hidden. The first film had no problem showing fish in captivity and even animal abuse through the Darla character. screenrant.com/finding-dory-nemo-2-plot-changes-after-seaworld-controversy/artsbeat.blogs.nytimes.com/2013/08/09/finding-nemo-sequel-is-altered-in-response-to-orcas-documentary/?_php=true&_type=blogs&_r=0The release date of the film originally set at November 25, 2015 was pushed back to June 17, 2016. deadline.com/2013/09/disney-shifts-maleficent-good-dinosaur-release-dates-590158/Pixar hasn't disappointed with it's sequels so I've got faith.
