Oh yes! Thanksgiving at 1 set of grandparents. Probably visiting the other two sets. Then Christmas Eve we celebrate with one side of the family. Christmas Day, the other. And then that weekend we will probably visit my husbands family for celebration.

When I was younger, I got in trouble for something (I can't remember at this time), and my biological mother made me copy the dictionary. Now I believe that to be a little extreme. But I'd say having a word of the day and incorporating it into your life would be extremely helpful in learning a new vocabulary.
